Giving women greater economic opportunity lifts families, communities, and countries out of poverty. Women Thrive Worldwide advocates for changes in U.S. policy that will have the greatest impact on reducing poverty through women. Because of this, our work has a ripple effect, often benefiting millions of women living in poverty at once. We focus on making U.S. international assistance and trade programs prioritize women. We bring together a diverse coalition of over 50 organizations and 40,000 individuals united in the belief that women are the key to ending global poverty, and empowering them is not only right, it’s also the most effective long-term solution to world poverty.

Women to Women International works with communities throughout the world to develop and transform women’s lives. Although most countries are part of an international legal framework which guarantees the rights of women, often it has little impact on daily life. Many women in developing countries have little understanding and knowledge of their guaranteed basic rights to health care, education and economic opportunity. This impacts dramatically on the communities in which they live, economically, with their ability to contribute to the household income severely reduced, and in health terms, with lack of knowledge about medical care increasing the risk of maternal and child illness, disability and early death.

Women's Aid is the key national domestic violence charity working to end violence against women and children. It helps over 250,000 women and children every year, and supports over 500 domestic and sexual violence services across the country. We believe that women and children have a right to live their lives free from all forms of violence and abuse, and society has a duty to recognise and defend this right. We keep voices of survivors at the heart of our work by influencing laws, policy and practice and working in partnership with key national and local agencies.

Our members are women's foundations that span public charities, private foundations and funds within community foundations.

The Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) is the oldest women's peace organisation in the world. It was founded in April 1915, in the Hague, the Netherlands, by some 1300 women from Europe and North America, from countries at war against each other and neutral ones, who came together in a Congress of Women to protest the killing and destruction of the war then raging in Europe. We work toward world peace; total and universal disarmament; the abolition of violence and coercion in the settlement of conflict and their substitution in every case of negotiation and conciliation; the strengthening of the United Nations system; the continuous development and implementation of international law; political and social equality and economic equity; co-operation among all people; and an environmentally sustainable development.

We are a global network of women and gender equality in the design, development, implementation, access to and use of ICTs and in the policy decisions and frameworks that regulate them. Our network numbers over 150 women from more than 35 countries. They are individual women and women's groups and organisations working in the field of gender and ICT and actively supporting women's networking. Our members have formed themselves into regional networks in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Latin America.

We are not a government department, we are an independent community organisation run by women for women and children. Our services are confidential and free (although rent is usually charged in the safe house, safety is our main concern. Women's Refuges provide support services in the safe house or in the community. All our advocates are trained in family violence issues, and work to provide culturally-appropriate services. Many have experienced violence themselves, so they know something about what women who are abused go through.

Our work shapes public attitude about women’s sports and athletes, builds capacities for organizations that get girls active, provides equal opportunities for girls and women, and supports physically and emotionally healthy lifestyles. The Women’s Sports Foundation Research & Policy Institute is a multidisciplinary network of specialists who seek to enhance the quality of girls’ and women’s experiences with sports and physical activity through evidence-based research and policy development. Our success depends on people around the world who work with us to help every girl and woman believe that she can be fit, confident and healthy in a body of any size.

The Women's Therapy Centre has been offering individual and group psychotherapy to women since 1976. Its access policy ensures that psychotherapy is available to all women, regardless of ability to pay, sexual orientation, disability, cultural or social background, immigrant status, previous psychiatric history or age. The Centre has a particular commitment to offering psychotherapy to women whose needs might not otherwise be met elsewhere and has a commitment to working with women who would not usually have access to therapy.

WACOL stands for WomenAid Collective. We are an independent, non governmental, non-profit organisation. We are dedicated and committed to helping women and young people in need. We are gender conscious and work towards gender equality and human rights for all. WACOL was founded in November 1997 with its headquarter in Enugu and branch offices in Port Harcourt, and the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Nigeria. It is registered with the Coporate Affairs Commission as a charitable organisation. WACOL exists to help women and young people whose rights are threatend and/or have been denied and who are subjected to phyisical, mental, and/or sexual abuse. The aim of WACOL is to increase legal protection and fight for better choices for abused women and children, facilitate flow of information and experiences between organisation, and develop appropriate Information, Education and Communication materials that will be used in advocacy for human rights of women and young people. WYCE is a charity (Registered charity number 1089167) that works in The Gambia to bring education, skills training, healthcare and self-sustainability to those in need. WYCE works hard to ensure that it helps to develop the villages the way that is best for the Gambian economy in line with Governmental development ideology. From humble beginnings in 1924 Wood Green, The Animals Charity has grown to become one of the leading animal welfare organisations in the UK. We take in animals of all shapes and sizes. As well as cats and dogs, we find loving new homes for thousands of chickens, rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, goats, sheep, ferrets and more. We think owning an animal is one of the most rewarding things you can do and we are here to offer help and support to both people and their pets.

The Woodland League is a not-for-profit independent community-based organisation , non-denominational, non-political advocates of Agenda 21 and an all-Ireland body. We are creating a central data-base of information on the historical records of Ireland’s great forest tradition and culture as well as up-to-the-minute information and developments. We are also making communities aware of their rights and entitlements under Agenda 21 to clean air, soil and water via increased native woodlands. We are also interested in promoting research and discussion on the Brehon laws by which Irish society operated until the fall of the Gaelic order. These laws managed our common heritage for the benefit of all, these were time-tested rules based on respected values. There were checks and balances and there was an effective system of enforcement.
