More information
For six decades, the Woodrow Wilson Foundation has prepared the nation’s best minds to meet its most important challenges. The Foundation’s existing fellowship programs continue to support the next generation of leaders in the arts and sciences, environmental conservation, foreign service, and other fields. Our focus for the next ten years is on the teaching profession. We believe that providing and supporting qualified, experienced and effective teachers is the most powerful means of closing the achievement gap and improving access to higher education. Through the creation of new fellowships to prepare secondary school teachers for careers in high-needs schools, the Foundation seeks to dignify the teaching profession, improve teacher training, and boost college readiness and access for a new generation of American student
