This practice is known as home visitation, and is carried out by local St Vincent de Paul Society conferences. Conferences are typically Parish or school based groups of people who respond to calls for assistance from people in the local community and work closely with the Society's Vinnies Centres.

St. Baldrick's Foundation

What began as a challenge between friends has grown into the world's fastest growing volunteer-driven fundraising opportunity benefiting childhood cancer research. The Foundation now funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Since 2000, events have taken place in 28 countries and 50 US states, raising over $87 million. At a St. Baldrick's event, something amazing happens. People who normally shy away from the very thought of childhood cancer find themselves compelled to support this cause after looking into the face of these brave children who are beaming as their friends and family members proudly display their newly shorn heads. Volunteers and donors see it can be fun to support a serious cause. Young cancer patients and survivors see how many people care. And researchers see St. Baldrick's funds helping to find cures!

St. Francis Health Care Services, located in Njeru Town Council near the Source of the Nile in Uganda, is an HIV/AIDS non-government organization established in 1998. Its main purpose was to respond to the growing challenges of HIV/AIDS epidemic through sensitization and awareness, provision of medical care and psycho-socio support to people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. We regularly provide services for clients in five districts (Mukono, Kayunga, Mayuge, Kamuli and Kaliro) with a total population of nearly 2.5 million people, and due to our reputation, some patients come from as far away as Bugiri, Iganga, Mayuge, Kayunga, and even other districts in the eastern Uganda. We are currently serving over 9,000 patients, 120 grannies, and 1,500 orphans.

St Luke's Centre and Trust is an historic but progressive neighbourhood charity working in one of the most diverse and deprived parts of inner-city London. We operate by identifying local needs, and tackle them with our own services, or pro-actively approach other organisations to offer them in our centre. For example, many of our services target older persons who suffer greatly from poor health, poverty and extreme isolation. The Trust owns a large community centre which provides the space for these services, and is on the cusp of starting a multi-million pound re-development project to improve and expand the building. Once completed, the new Centre will equip the charity to offer an even better local resource, attract the wider community, host more local services, and put us on a stronger financial base from which to serve the local community for another 450 years.

St Richard’s Hospice cares for patients and families in Worcestershire who are living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Each year we give free care and support to around 2,100 patients and family members – helping them towards the best quality of life possible. Our care is unique to each individual - whatever his or her physical, emotional or spiritual needs. Our hospice team includes our own doctors, nurses, social worker, counsellors and therapists working alongside highly trained volunteers. Though Home Care, the In-patient Unit, Day Hospice and all our further support services, we are able to help patients and families at a very difficult time. One of our main aims is to enable patients to stay at home where possible, providing our care alongside their own doctors and nurses with the back up of the Day Hospice.

St. Rita Women Group

St.Rita home for orphans has opened its doors to orphans of Kisumu. The home is a building on the farm of Bernadette Otieno, founder and one of the women taking care of children at the orphanage. Although the group was started by less than four members, its membership has increased to fifteen. The group strategizes its support by engaging each member to take care of between 2-3 orphans. This is done through support in clothing, education and food.

SVI is an independent medical research institute conducting medical research into the cause, prevention and treatment of diseases that are common and have serious effects on health. We strive through our research to help alleviate the enormous financial, emotional and physical impacts of these diseases on individuals their families and the community. SVI hosts the National Serology Reference Laboratory and is a member of Bio 21; the Victorian Breast Cancer Research Consortium; St Vincent's Diabetes Centre of Excellence; the Association of Australian Medical Research Institutes; and is accredited by the NHMRC. Staffordshire Bull Terrier Welfare

In August 1995, it was decided there was a need for a registered charity and "Staffordshire Bull Terrier Welfare" was created, to work alongside the other SBT rescue groups in the country, but to have a different unifying role. The “hands-on” work would be left to the regional groups, whilst "SBT Welfare" would become a support group, encouraging the others to work together, as in unity there is strength. Charitable status was conferred on “The Welfare” (as it's colloquially known) on 14th October 1996.

Stamford Center for the Arts (SCA), a not-for-profit cultural arts organization, dedicated to serving as the region's premier center for the performing arts.
