We are currently in the process of establishing a Tennis Academy in New Zealand where it is free for our children to learn and play the beautiful game of Tennis. Our objective is to reach NZD $800,000 by 2012, then we can launch our charity based Academy, and the children can begin playing. Ideally the funds would be used to purchase 2 outdoor tennis courts with a small clubhouse, with the remaining money to be invested into resources and marketing. The funds will be sourced from donations, charity auctions and "playing sessions" with the Director, Peter Grant. Playing sessions are for adults or children which last for one hour and cost NZD $100. Playing sessions are a combination of coaching and semi-competitive playing, one of the best ways to learn the game. These sessions are suitable for people who have an understanding of the game and want to improve on their ground strokes or shot making. All proceeds will be held in the Academy’s account with the vision of reaching our target before December 2012. Playing sessions can be arranged by contacting the director via email Peter Grant, also if you have a tournament coming up and need a hitting partner, Peter would be happy to help out for a small donation towards the charity.

Pets In Need (PIN) was founded in 1965 by Jean Mahoney and Alice Hodges to help lost pets get home and to provide information about pet care to people. Most of all they wanted all dogs and cats to have loving homes. In 1993 Pets In Need entered a new era of service to our community's animals with the purchase of a plumbing supply warehouse and retrofitted it to be an adoption shelter. No animal suitable for re-homing is ever put to death, no matter how long it takes. PIN is committed to finding homes for each animal in the shelter. Every dog or cat is spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

As a matter of principle and civic responsibility, Philadelphia VIP believes that access to the legal system should be ensured for all residents and businesses in Philadelphia. More than 24% of Philadelphia’s citizens fall below the poverty line. For most families, this means a daily struggle for employment, family stability and shelter. These individuals and families also are disproportionately involved in the legal system, forced to engage with the courts to secure their basic human needs. Individuals and families who are denied access to justice are at risk for losing their income, connections to their family and their home. Moreover, for the growing number of citizens for whom English is a second language, self-representation is, at best, difficult and frustrating. VIP promotes equal justice for the poor by providing civil legal services not otherwise available, collaborating with other legal services organizations and promoting a culture of volunteerism by educating and exposing attorneys and law students to issues of poverty.

The Philip Wayre Wildlife Trust was founded in 1994 by the well known naturalist and conservationist Philip Wayre. The objects of the Trust are to encourage the protection of British wildlife and wild areas. The Trust is probably unique in that no money at all is spent on administration. Such work is carried out on a purely voluntary basis by dedicated supporters. This in turn means that every penny raised by the Trust goes directly into practical conservation. The Trust is especially active in the uplands particularly the Northeast Pennines where its first reserve of over 450 acres is located. This reserve is especially important for its breeding waders which include Curlew, Redshank, Lapwing, Golden, Plover, Snipe and Dunlin. The rare and endangered Black Grouse is also an important species there. The number of male Black Grouse displaying each spring on a well established lek has more than doubled since the reserve was donated to the Trust by Philip Wayre five years ago.

PRCH was founded in 1992 by a small committee of concerned physicians in New York City, where we opened our first national office in 1995.We also maintain an organizational presence in San Francisco and Washington, DC, which enables us to conduct our recruiting, organizing, advocacy, and educational activities at the grassroots level.PRCH has two interconnecting program divisions that respond to the needs of our physician members and the public for information and services: External Affairs and Education, Research, and Training. These divisions provide opportunities for physicians to become more involved in the public discussion on contraception and abortion, to educate doctors about their responsibility to do so, to monitor state and national legislation tied to our mission, to communicate our message to the media, and to expand medical education in reproductive health. PRCH exists to ensure that all people have the knowledge, access to quality services, and freedom to make their own reproductive health decisions.PRCH mobilizes pro-choice physicians to promote, educate, and advocate about the importance of comprehensive reproductive healthcare.
