Overlook Hospital Foundation
Community/Family
Overlook Hospital Foundation raises funds for state-of-the-art equipment, facilities and programs that help Overlook Hospital remain a leading provider of medical care. Contributions to Overlook remain “at home” to serve the needs of the greater Summit-area communities. Our aim is to raise funds to transform cancer care by constructing a 26,400-square-foot cancer center to consolidate cancer diagnosis, treatment, specialists, and services in one location, and to focus on women's health with a new maternal-fetal center and a new breast health. We want to install PatientVision touch-screen computers at every bedside so patients have medical information to assist them in decisions about their care; have full access to the Internet, television, music, on-demand movies, and games; view lab results and images with their doctors and order services and meals. The installation of computers at every bedside is believed to be the first of its kind in the United States.

Oxfam GB is a member of Oxfam International. Oxfam is famous for helping people in crisis. Our teams are saving lives around the world, right now. Through decades of experience, Oxfam has come to focus on a number of core issues that are vital in helping poor people to lift themselves out of poverty. It’s a basic question, but a good one. Why does Oxfam bother? Why put so much energy into saving lives, campaigning for change, and developing projects to give people more control over their future? The answer is basic too. Belief – belief that in a wealthy world poverty is unjustifiable, and can be prevented. Belief that injustice must be challenged. And belief that with the right help, poor people themselves can change their lives for the better, for good.

Oxfam Novib
Human Rights
Poor people can't build independent livelihoods when their rights are not respected. That is why we support them to stand up for their rights. We believe that people must have access to indispensable resources like land and water, and that unfair trade rules must abolished. Everybody has the right to quality education and healthcare. The spread of HIV and AIDS must be halted.
Oz Child
Children/Education
We work to make the lives of children who are disadvantaged better in terms of both their current wellbeing and their future life opportunities. While we work with some of the most socially and psychologically damaged children in our society, we also work with children who are disadvantaged in other ways - children with learning and language difficulties, children with a disability, children with mental health issues or young people whose future job prospects are very limited. We are also aware that children face new forms of disadvantage such as childhood obesity and cyber bullying that are emerging as a consequence of changes to the way we live in contemporary society and we are aware we need to be working towards minimising their impact. To meet these various needs, we work in most of the contexts that shape children's lives -the home, the school environment and in the community.

Established March 5, 1973, Pacific Legal Foundation is the oldest and most successful public interest legal organization that fights for limited government, property rights, individual rights and a balanced approach to environmental protection. Pacific Legal Foundation is devoted to a vision of individual freedom, responsible government, and color-blind justice. Like America's founders, we believe the blessings of liberty are beyond measure. And like them, we believe each generation must defend those blessings against government encroachment. Every day, PLF attorneys litigate to build a future of economic freedom and equal opportunity. PLF's litigation focuses on three major projects: to defend the fundamental human right of private property; to promote sensible environmental policies that respect individual freedom and put people first; and to create a nation in which people are judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. In addition, PLF's Economic Liberty and Free Enterprise Projects are devoted to protecting the right to earn a living, and protect businesses against unfair burdens.

Pacific Research Institute
Research/Dev
Since its founding in 1979, PRI has remained steadfast to the vision of a free and civil society where individuals can achieve their full potential. Put simply, public policy is too important to be left just to the experts. Individuals are the real decision makers when it comes to their schools, health care, and environment. PRI reinforces this ideal by providing you with the information, inspiration, and opportunity to make decisions about the daily issues that matter most to you. The Institute’s activities include publications, events, media commentary, legislative testimony, and community outreach. Worthy policy goals with such broad impact are not easily attained, and they require sustained effort and struggle. Together with its alliance of dedicated supporters, PRI is committed to leading the way toward a more free and prosperous future for all. The Pacific Research Institute for Public Policy promotes the principles of individual freedom and personal responsibility. The Institute believes these principles are best encouraged through policies that emphasize a free economy, private initiative, and limited government.
