We provide emotional and financial support to the partners and children of deceased Police Officers and currently support over 1,300 family members. We care for children as young as two and Widows as old as 102. We provide our Legatees with emotional and financial support. Our work includes assisting with grief and trauma counselling, managing children's trust funds and raising funds to provide a range of educational and social activities for our members. In this way, we enable the partners and children of deceased Police Officers to stay in touch and share their experiences with others who have suffered in similar ways.
Nuzzles & Co.
Animals/Wildlife
Friends of Animals Utah ("FOAU") is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has found homes for over 10,000 pets. Our dog and cat rescue and adoption program is the Furburbia program. Each week, FOAU's staff visits animal shelters throughout Northern Utah and rescues healthy adoptable dogs and cats, many from these shelters’ euthanasia lists. FOAU then spays/neuters, chips, and vaccinates these animals. These rescue animals are then transported daily from the FOAU Rescue & Rehabilitation Ranch facility to the Furbubia adoption center located in the Tanger Outlet Mall in Park City, Utah. At the Ranch, we provide a temporary, loving home for dogs and cats that no longer have a family of their own. The animals in our program have ended up with us for a variety of reasons, ranging from abandonment, to rescue from an abusive situation, to owner surrender because they no longer can or want to take care of them. FOAU was founded in 1990 by a group of generous volunteers determined to find homes for animals in need.

Oberlin College
Children/Education
Oberlin is a four-year, highly selective liberal arts college and conservatory of music. Founded in 1833 by a Presbyterian minister and a missionary, it holds a distinguished place among American colleges and universities. It was the first college to grant bachelor's degrees to women in a coeducational environment and, historically, was a leader in the education of African Americans. The Oberlin community is known for its academic and musical excellence and its commitment to social justice, sustainability, and diversity. Our legacy of inclusion and respect for diversity sets the tone for campus life today. The presence of a top liberal arts college and a world-class conservatory of music on a single campus is rare and enriching. Here, students live, dine, play, and study together in a community of intense learning and discovery. We revel in our differences as much as we value the sense that we are all in this together. We share a commitment to pushing the boundaries of our determination, intellect, and creativity. Together, the campus and community create a place of urban sensibility reflecting the music, art, and cultural richness of the world. Oberlin's size, residential character, variety, and selectivity provides an atmosphere that is conducive to intellectual and personal growth.
Ocean Alliance
Research/Dev
Ocean Alliance, Inc. was founded in 1971 by biologist Roger Payne, and collects a broad spectrum of data on whales and ocean life relating particularly to toxicology, behavior, bioacoustics, and genetics. From that data we work with our scientific partners to advise educators and policy makers on wise stewardship of the oceans to: reduce pollution, prevent the collapse of marine mammal populations, maintain human access to fish and other sea life, and promote ocean and human health. Ocean Alliance is also working to reverse humanity’s general apathy about the fundamental importance of the oceans and the degree to which the future of all life on earth is dependent upon them. Ocean Alliance believes that the oceans and their marine inhabitants are a common, unique and irreplaceable asset of humanity.
Ocean Conservancy
Environment
Here at Ocean Conservancy, we believe it's time to look beneath the surface to see where the health of our planet really begins. It's time to recognize the source that sustains us day to day with the food we eat, the water we drink, and the air we breathe...to discover that all living things are connected to the ocean. It's time to understand that going green starts with living blue. It's time to start a sea change. Ocean Conservancy believes it's time to change our national policies to protect entire ecosystems as the surest way to solve the most critical ocean conservation challenges we face. The ocean belongs to everyone and everyone is needed to protect it.

Our scientists work closely with our teams of economists, lawyers and advocates to achieve tangible results for the oceans.

Odyssey House McGrath Foundation
Community/Family
There are no easy answers to the problems of drug misuse in our society and the reality is that drug problems are not confined to an isolated few. However, research has consistently shown that drug rehabilitation can work. Since Odyssey House's inception in Australia over thirty years ago, it has helped more than 30,000 people with drug and alcohol problems. The drug and alcohol programs offered by Odyssey House help to provide a 'A Calm in the Sea of Addiction' for thousands of drug affected men and women and their families. Every resident involved in the program must confront the reason why they resorted to an addictive lifestyle. Residents are also taught alternative ways of dealing with the ups and downs of daily life. Odyssey House not only saves lives, but also saves the community substantial amounts of money. After completing the Odyssey House program, residents are likely to live longer, lessen their drug use, reduce crime and ease demands on health and community services.
