The purchase was completed and as a result, Dakota Medical Foundation is no longer affiliated with a hospital, but is an independent grantmaking organization that invests in projects designed to improve health and access to healthcare. Since its inception in 1995, the Foundation has invested nearly $42 million in grants to 374 nonprofit organizations to measurably improve the health of people in our region.
