Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation is not a disease specific organization. The Foundation focuses its support on the Faculty of Medicine’s four identified areas of research emphasis: Neuroscience, Cancer, Cardiovascular Research and Immunity, Inflammation and Infectious Diseases. Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation provides in excess of $1.5 million annually in research grants supporting equipment and infrastructure, training awards and senior research Chairs. Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation is, in fact, the largest non-government funding agency supporting local cancer research, providing over $500,000 to the Dalhousie Cancer Research Program.
