Referrals will be considered from anywhere in the UK. Talbot House exists because we know that sometimes a child’s difficulties cannot receive relevant attention in mainstream schools. We are totally child centred. ‘How can we help this individual’ is the question we ask every day. We match appropriate staff ratios to situations. Tamam is a religiously and politically independent aid organization working with children and youth experiencing social exclusion in Sweden, Albania, Mexico and Paraguay. The organization was founded in 2008 in Lund, Sweden, and has grown rapidly since then. Tamam’s motto Friendship without borders permeates all the work – regardless if it is about working with newly arrived immigrant youth in Lund, arranging excursions for children living at the fruit market in Asunción, Paraguay or activities for the children in Marquinet, Albania. Tamana literally means a longing, an aspiration. The association could not have been more aptly named, for at its heart lies an earnest longing, a lifelong aspiration to see such children on their feet as happy, useful, integrated members of the society. Since its inception, the organisation has come a long way in supporting and serving multiply handicapped children. It has now acquired the reputation and goodwill of being a dedicated NGO providing selfless service to the society in its own way. Tamana has now developed matchless expertise in handling special kids and developing them into normal, independent, confident citizens, capable of serving the society and the nation in almost the same way other citizens do.

Tamara Housing Trust is a registered Public Benefit Organisation. South African Mary-Ann Lloyd had a desire to assist disadvantaged women (domestic helpers; unmarried women; widows or single women who had been abused or abandoned by their husbands etc.) to obtain suitable homes. She stipulated that the houses constructed for these categories of women should be architecturally designed and built by members of the Master Builders Association. Mary-Ann Lloyd was a remarkable lady, a granddaughter of South African mining magnate, Sir Abe Bailey, so she was born a person of means, but she always used her inheritance in the best possible way, helping other people.

Natural outdoor exhibits for more than 2,000 animals from Florida and similar habitats include a Native Florida Wildlife Center and manatee hospital, Asian Gardens, Primate World, Free-Flight Aviaries, Wallaroo Station children's zoo, and Safari Africa.
