Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation

Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation is the principal fundraising body for Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick. Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick is one of Australia's leading specialist medical centres for children. We provide quality, comprehensive and expert clinical services to the children and families of New South Wales and beyond. We are dedicated to working with the community to improve the quality of life for this and future generations of seriously ill children from across NSW and beyond. We have a vital and continuing role in preserving and enhancing the services and standard of healthcare provided by the Sydney Children's Hospital for our sick and injured children. We are committed to the pursuit of world-class standards in the quality of our services, the efficiency of our fundraising, our transparency, integrity, cost-effectiveness, accessibility and the correctness and effectiveness of good governance and administration.

Sydney Eye Hospital Foundation

The Foundation chief purpose is to raise funds for the development of the Sydney Eye Hospital. The Sidney Eye Hospital, established in 1882, is the largest eye hospital in the southern emisphere. We want to attract membership of, and donations to the foundation, with a view to funding the purchase of equipment and other vital facilities for the Sydney Eye Hospital. We provide and update sophisticated equipment for the operating theatres and the impatient and outpatient areas of the Sydney Eye Hospital. We aim to consolidate the further development of the super-specialist role of the Hospital.

Sylvanvale Foundation

Sylvanvale Foundation has been providing support to people with an intellectual disability for more than 60 years and currently provides services to over 600 adults, children and families across the Sydney Metropolitan Region. Today, our services include day programs, accommodation, private therapy, early intervention and respite programs for children and their families. The original vision, determination and passion of our founding families still thrive as the Foundation continues to grow and deliver programs of exceptional quality. Symphony Space

Reaching audiences throughout New York City, the wider metropolitan area, and – through distribution of programs via media such as radio, recordings, podcasts and touring – the nation, we present and produce a calendar of innovative, multidisciplinary arts events; provide a first-rate affordable facility for artists and producers and nurture relationships with established and emerging artists and other cultural organizations who will use Symphony Space as a venue for adventurous artistic growth. Symphony Space’s two-fold operating philosophy is to create and present its own artistic offering and, at the same time, to support artists’ own endeavors and enrich our calendar by providing a subsidized rental facility.

Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture

We invest in agricultural science and technology for sustainable productivity gains, improvements of the natural resource base, credit and risk management tools, and better food quality and standards. Agricultural extension and rural services are scaled up to enable adoption of effective inputs and practices. We work to catalyze value chains in domestic and foreign markets, productively and gainfully associating smallholders. We also build public-private partnerships in seed and other input systems, certification, contract farming, agro-environmental services, product processing and transformation, marketing and retailing. The Foundation strives to enhance the capabilities of smallholder farmers to satisfy standards and food safety requirements, enabling diversification of the rural economy for job creation.

SYNTHIKA TRUST

Synthika Trust is a registered, non-profit motive and voluntary social service organization promoted in 2006. Since its inception the organization has been working with children/ youth who are disabled, parents, governmental bodies and intergovernmental bodies in the promotion of handicap, orphans children affairs. Its works to identify the need of disable children, youth especially the rural child, the underprivileged, abandoned and the weaker section of the society through participatory approach. Trust works for the integral human development in view of establishing a just and humane society through organizing and animating the marginalized people through awareness generation, education and leadership training programmes irrespective of caste, creed, religion, color etc also undertakes need based project interventions. In overall developmental process the organization believes in playing the role of facilitator than to lead.

T B ALERT

TB Alert is the UK's National and International Tuberculosis charity - the only British charity working solely on fighting TB in the UK and overseas. TB Alert is a young charity, registered in late 1998 and launched at the Houses of Parliament on World TB Day (24th March) 1999. It was set up by people who felt that with its long tradition of TB work, there should be a greater response in Britain to the resurgent threat of tuberculosis - already declared a global emergency by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in 1993.

T.J. Martell Foundation

The T.J. Martell Foundation is one of the world's primary funders of innovative, early stage cancer and AIDS research that leads to practical, effective treatments in the near term. We are a non-profit, collaborative organization dedicated to funding and supporting the efforts of scientists and physicians engaged in the global battle against multiple forms of cancer and AIDS. In addition to fighting these diseases, we also work to improve the lives of cancer and pediatric AIDS patients and their families.

Tag - Kenya

We collect and disseminate useful information to young people and their initiatives/projects, and ensure that youth projects have access to useful information that can lead to the accomplishment their goals. We engage and involve young people in meaningful activities that will boost their socio-economic growth, and create equal opportunities for young people in marginalized rural areas. Assisting minority youth projects access and obtain assistance both locally and internationally, we facilitate cultural interaction among young people both regionally and internationally as a way of sharing and disseminating information.

Tahoe-Baikal Institute

TBI was established in 1990 to help preserve Lake Tahoe in California and Lake Baikal in Siberia, as well as other significant and threatened lake ecosystems around the world. This preservation is realized through environmental education programs, research, and international exchanges of students, scholars, and practitioners in science, policy, economics, and other related disciplines. TBI is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the United States based in the City of South Lake Tahoe (California, USA). TBI has staff operating in South Lake Tahoe, Irkutsk (Irkutsk Oblast, Russia), and Ulan Ude (Republic of Buryatia). Operations are managed by the US-based Executive Director and programs are coordinated by the US-based Programs Director in conjunction with Russia-based Program Coordinators in Irkutsk and Ulan Ude.

Take Stock in Children

Take Stock in Children was established in 1995 as a non-profit organization in Florida that provides a unique opportunity for low-income and at-risk students, many from minority families, to escape the cycle of poverty through education. We offer our students college scholarships, caring volunteer mentors and hope for a better life. Our comprehensive services start in middle school, continue through high school and include their transition into college.

Taking Root

Taking Root is a Canadian non-profit organization that uses reforestation as a tool for sustainable local economic development. Taking Root is presently collaborating with small-scale farmers in Nicaragua. Its projects support and recognize the needs of rural communities as an integral part of a thriving ecosystem. Taking Root is putting forward a truly sustainable reforestation model: mitigating climate change, restoring ecosystems and generating local economic development.

Talbot House

Talbot House School has been established since 1974 to provide a positive alternative approach to meet the particular needs of young people, who manifest emotional behavioral, social and associated learning difficulties. Talbot House is a school for up to 50 boys and girls who display social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Pupils attend the school primarily from all areas of Northern England. Referrals will be considered from anywhere in the UK. Talbot House exists because we know that sometimes a child’s difficulties cannot receive relevant attention in mainstream schools. We are totally child centred. ‘How can we help this individual’ is the question we ask every day. We match appropriate staff ratios to situations. Our intention is to give the unique opportunity to grow and that every young person deserves a warm, happy and caring environment where everyone is valued equally.

Tamam

Tamam is a religiously and politically independent aid organization working with children and youth experiencing social exclusion in Sweden, Albania, Mexico and Paraguay. The organization was founded in 2008 in Lund, Sweden, and has grown rapidly since then. Tamam’s motto Friendship without borders permeates all the work – regardless if it is about working with newly arrived immigrant youth in Lund, arranging excursions for children living at the fruit market in Asunción, Paraguay or activities for the children in Marquinet, Albania. Every week hundreds of children and volunteers participate in some kind of Tamam-activity, and the special spirit of optimism and joy that runs through everything that Tamam does is spreading like ripples on the water.

Tamana

Tamana is a non-profit voluntary association registered in March 1984, created solely with the purpose of helping the cause of developmentally disabled and minimal brain damaged children. Tamana literally means a longing, an aspiration. The association could not have been more aptly named, for at its heart lies an earnest longing, a lifelong aspiration to see such children on their feet as happy, useful, integrated members of the society. Since its inception, the organisation has come a long way in supporting and serving multiply handicapped children. It has now acquired the reputation and goodwill of being a dedicated NGO providing selfless service to the society in its own way. Tamana has now developed matchless expertise in handling special kids and developing them into normal, independent, confident citizens, capable of serving the society and the nation in almost the same way other citizens do.

Tamara Housing Trust

Tamara Housing Trust is a registered Public Benefit Organisation. South African Mary-Ann Lloyd had a desire to assist disadvantaged women (domestic helpers; unmarried women; widows or single women who had been abused or abandoned by their husbands etc.) to obtain suitable homes. She stipulated that the houses constructed for these categories of women should be architecturally designed and built by members of the Master Builders Association. Mary-Ann Lloyd was a remarkable lady, a granddaughter of South African mining magnate, Sir Abe Bailey, so she was born a person of means, but she always used her inheritance in the best possible way, helping other people.

Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo

Re-opened at its current site in 1988, Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo is today ranked the number-one family-friendly zoo in the U.S. (Child magazine) and recognized by the State of Florida as a center for Florida wildlife conservation and biodiversity (HB 457). The region's only dedicated zoological garden, Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo was designed to enhance quality of life in greater Tampa Bay as an affordable leisure destination and center for education and endangered species conservation. Natural outdoor exhibits for more than 2,000 animals from Florida and similar habitats include a Native Florida Wildlife Center and manatee hospital, Asian Gardens, Primate World, Free-Flight Aviaries, Wallaroo Station children's zoo, and Safari Africa.
