Reach has been boosting the resources of the voluntary sector for over 30 years. We work with over 10,000 organisations across the UK. There are over 6,000 skilled volunteers working on any given day. Each year Reach volunteers contribute £31 million of expertise to the organisations they assist. A charity ourselves, we have a large and committed team of skilled volunteers who support our small paid staff in providing the core of our service both nationally in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and regionally throughout England. We empower voluntary organisations to provide care for our sick and disadvantaged, the education and support for our children, protection for our environment and development of stronger communities.

Reachout To Africa is a Christian registered Canadian charity, humanitarian organization dedicated to providing financial and logistical aid to communities and vulnerable children of Southern Africa. We work closely with various organizations who have many, many years of experience working in various countries in Africa. These organizations are involved with local grass root community resilience building and educational and development projects. They do this together with NGO's, Faith based organizations (FBO) Churches, Educational and Government organizations. Through the efforts of our hard-working, dedicated and enthusiastic team of volunteers we are undoubtedly helping improve the lives and well being of our troubled children while instilling in them hope and light.

We believe that teaching people from developing countries to support and educate themselves is extremely important. Through education, these countries can grow to become stronger, more self-sufficient and no longer dependent on help from others. Read to Grow contributes to this philosophy by supporting small-scale projects with high-quality English and French books. Read to Grow donates books to projects in every place where books are scarce. Read to Grow also finds it important that the given books are of good quality and usable for the communities where they arrive. Read to Grow chooses for quality over quantity.

RIF is putting books in the hands of readers, nurturing youngsters hungry for knowledge and passionate about learning. RIF is everywhere you are—thanks to countless volunteers in schools, libraries, childcare centers, Head Start programs, parks, community centers, health clinics, migrant camps, and domestic shelters. RIF's programs are as varied as the communities they serve, but each contains the power of choice for the child and a can-do spirit from the parents, teachers, and volunteers who supervise the events—from an outdoor read-in to parent training to book distributions.

Reading Partners was founded by three community leaders committed to improving children's literacy and life opportunities. In 1999, Mary Wright Shaw, Molly McCrory and Jean Bacigalupi launched the program at Belle Haven Elementary School in Menlo Park. Reading Partners would not exist today without the founders' vision, passion and talent to mobilize a community. Reading Partners is dedicated to transforming struggling young readers into confident readers who are excited about learning.

Reading Reform Foundation of New York became a legally recognized not-for-profit organization in 1981. Reading Reform Foundation's excellent courses and training give teachers the knowledge that most of the English language is predictable and logical if one understands the phonetic basis of the language and its approximately two dozen spelling rules. Teachers learn that this information can be taught to children in step-by-step ways, simultaneously using all the senses to reinforce learning. Our experience over 29 years and in hundreds of schools, teaching thousands of children, has proven this logical, multisensory, phonetic approach is effective.

READS – Rural Education And Development Society is working among SC/ST population, targeted groups in HIV interventions, women self help groups and micro financing. In all these programs, the population belongs to youth in the age group of 18 – 30 years. Most of them are migrants, less educated and drop outs from school for various reasons. Our contacts and communications as well as program activities are with the community structures like self help groups, support groups and ICDS based working groups. As these are non school or out of school community structures, READS has well linked with them through its program activities.

The Asian tsunami on the 26th December 2004 killed over 40,000 people in Sri Lanka. Thousands of those missing were never recovered. Many of the small, coastal villages in southern and eastern Sri Lanka were completely destroyed. Over a million people were left homeless. Thousands were destitute. "Rebuilding Sri Lanka" has been active since the day of the disaster and we continue to provide support, rehabilitation, nutrition, education and shelter to those affected by the disaster. Rebuilding Sri Lanka will continue to raise funds and use them to sustain the projects that we have initiated since the tsunami.

Rebuilding Together is the nation’s leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities. Our network of more than 200 affiliates provides free rehabilitation and critical repairs to the homes of low-income Americans. Rebuilding Together believes in a safe and healthy home for every person. This means that we believe disabled and aging homeowners should be able to remain in their homes for as long as possible. We believe that homeowners displaced by natural disaster will get back into safe housing with help from the community. We believe that our nation’s veterans with disabilities deserve safe and accessible homes. Rebuilding Together believes we can preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities by providing free home modifications and repairs, making homes safer, more accessible, and more energy efficient. As the economic pressure on low-income families grows, more and more families are placed in the position of choosing between vital necessities and essential home repairs and modifications.

LAMBDA (RKL) is Austria's lgbt-rights-organisation. It has been founded in 1991 and is committed to the realization and safeguarding of human rights of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders (lgbt), i.e. the rights to equality, to autonomy and sexual self-determination. RKL has been working for rehabilitation and compensation of all the victims of anti-gay persecution under the total ban and under discriminatory criminal legislation. RKL is pleading for equal rights of same-sex partnerships, including same-sex marriage, and for comprehensive and effective antidiscrimination-legislation.

Recycling for Charities is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization that allows individuals an opportunity to recycle cellular phones, PDA’s, Palm Pilots, digital cameras, and iPods for value that is then donated to the charity of their choice. Not only is RFC acting as a medium to raise funds for charities, but the organization helps individuals protect the environment as well.

Red Door was founded in 1998, under the name Chicago Community Humane Center. Red Door provides a cageless environment for its animals, giving them the closest-to-a-home experience that a shelter can provide. While our emphasis is on re-homing the animals through resourceful adoption programs, the shelter does offer permanent residence for those few animals not placed in homes. Furthermore, Red Door is one of only five no-kill, multi-species shelters in the country that admits rabbits as well as cats and dogs, spays/neuters them and places them up for adoption. Every year, Red Door rescues and finds homes for hundreds of abused and abandoned animals. Red Door is a 501(c)(3) organization.

Since 1982, the Red Door has provided services for families and individuals who need safe and supportive emergency shelter. Back in 1982 there was only one other shelter operating in Toronto. The Woodgreen United Church responded to the growing need for more shelters for homeless families and the Red Door was opened as a result. Many people can find themselves in desperate need. These include women who have experienced violence at home, families who get evicted, refugees, or young mothers who may have nowhere to go. The people who use our services are moms with children; followed by intact families, and dads with children.

RED International is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation which is engaged in relief, education and development projects through local partners around the world. We work with carefully selected implementing partners whose focus is specifically on relief, education and development projects in particular countries and regions. In some countries our partners are also involved in advocacy and human rights issues. Our implementing partners share our aims and ethos and have the capacity to implement projects to a high standard with reliable systems for reporting. Our current partners serve the poor and marginalised in Africa, the Middle East, the Balkans, the Caucasus, Central and South Asia.

Red Rose Forest is the Community Forest for central and western Greater Manchester. We are working to transform this area into a greener, healthier and more satisfying place to live, work and invest. Red Rose Forest is made up of all the lovely, natural green stuff across Greater Manchester . We work hard to make sure where you live and work is as natural and beautiful as possible and we work with lots of people to make this happen. Since 1991 Red Rose Forest has been creating new areas of woodland, helping to improve existing green spaces and encouraging thousands of people every year to visit their local park, woodland, nature reserve or community garden - discovering the countryside that is right on your doorstep.

The Red Wing Family YMCA has a wide variety of fitness classes as well as sports activities for adults and youth (Kindergarten - 6th grades). There are also pre-school, swimming and gymnastics classes for children age 3 and older as well as programs for teens and seniors.

Providing real support to children, young people and their families through cancer has remained Redkite's single focus for over 26 years. Currently there are approximately 8000 families affected by childhood and adolescent cancer in Australia. Redkite is there with real and practical support for the whole family from the moment of diagnosis, throughout treatment and when families return home to the community. Redkite provides financial assistance, emotional support and education assistance. Emotional support within the hospital environment is provided through social workers and music therapists, and support within the community includes telephone and email counselling, bereavement support and family days.

RedR exists in order to provide suitably trained and experienced personnel to relief agencies so to help them relieve people from the debilitating conditions that occur when disasters disrupt the normal pattern of life. Each RedR Organisation maintains a Register of experienced personnel from which operational agencies (governmental, non-governmental and international) can obtain the skills they require to improve their response in disaster relief. RedR makes no discrimination as to nationality, race, religious belief, gender, class or political opinions. It endeavours to provide suitable personnel being guided solely by the needs of each situation. In order to continue to enjoy the confidence of all, RedR does not take sides in hostilities or engage at any time in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature. RedR is independent. The national organisations, whilst they may act in the humanitarian service of their governments and whilst they be associated with other organisations, must always maintain their autonomy so that they may be able at all times to act in accordance with the principles of RedR.

RedR (Register of Engineers for Disaster Relief) is an international not-for-profit organisation helping rebuild lives in times of disaster by training, supporting and providing aid workers to disaster relief programmes throughout the world. RedR NZ courses, which are a mandatory part of applying to join the standby register, are open to people with a wide range of skills including: logistics, engineering, emergency management, security, administration, accounting, child protection, health, law, quantity surveying, public information, information technology and telecommunications. We relieve suffering in disaster situations by training and providing competent and experienced disaster relief professionals in the Pacific and around the world.
