We are a not-for-profit, non-governmental social service group committed to educating underprivileged groups in Andhra Pradesh, women and children in rural areas, dalits, landless labourers, widows, destitutes and orphans, who need our specialist care for their survival. It is our firm conviction that unless women, as the very backbone of social structure, are moved from inertia and inaction, the very notion of integrated rural development remains little more than an enthusiastic fertility project.

Health/Medical
In 1972, a group of Tampa citizens realized that thousands of medically indigent people were going without adequate health care, resulting in needless physical and emotional suffering. Resolving to do something to help, they founded the Judeo Christian Health Clinic. Today, the clinic provides free, quality care to thousands of people each year. Located behind St. John's Presbyterian Church in Tampa, the clinic houses an increasingly sophisticated array of medical, dental and optometric facilities and equipment. It is the largest and most comprehensive free clinic in the Southeastern United States.

Animals/Wildlife
The Jungle Fortress Animal Sanctuary is a sanctuary for all kinds of animals. Here we house and rehome exotic, endangered and unusual species, in addition to more traditional pets. As well as caring for the animals, we work with schools and other organisations through our outreach programs. We bring our friendlier and more tolerant animals into schools, to help teach young people how to care for the environment and the animals we share our planet with. Jungle Fortress Animal Sanctuary wants to encourage being eco-friendly and sustainability. So to our children's animal parties and school animal workshops we try and provide ethically and sustainably sourced materials.

Disability
We offer specialized services for thousands of infants, children, teens and adults throughout California and across the country. Through programs that offer early intervention, education, recreation and rehabilitation, our students learn essential skills to help them maximize their potential and achieve their goals. Many of the children Junior Blind serves have multiple disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, developmental delay and mental retardation, among others. Every hour spent with our students provides crucial education, bringing them one step closer to reaching their goals and achieving independence.

Launched in 1998, Just a Drop continues to receive considerable support from worldwide travel & tourism companies whilst also increasingly now from other business sectors. In our 11 years to date we have undertaken over 65 water aid projects and helped over 1 million children and their families in 29 countries. Just a Drop raises money to build wells, install boreholes and hand pumps, and carry out sanitation and health education programmes in some of the poorest parts of the developing world. Rather than taking a global perspective on the issue, we look at the local picture to establish how we can achieve maximum impact at ground level. This means working directly with other charities, local partners and communities. We believe that a good plan today is better than a perfect plan tomorrow. After all, if it is a case of saving lives there’s no time for unnecessary delays.

Disability
Originally a 'Not-for-Profit' organisation founded in 2004, Just for Smiles became a professional Public Service Foundation in 2008. It is run by a flexible and efficient Management/Secretarial structure which arranges free sporting activities for the handicapped residents of Institutions. Life does not treat everyone equally. Whether it be from birth, or after an accident, 100,000 people in Switzerland are currently polyhandicapped or have severely restricted mobility. Most of them, including numerous children and youths, live partly or permanently in an Institution. Since its inception – firstly in Swiss Romande and now progressively across Switzerland – Just for Smiles has collaborated closely with these places. Without Just for Smiles and its networks of resources, those confined to Institutions – despite their own exemplary courage and determination – would not have access to the activities we provide, nor to the physical and psychological benefits these bring.

Human Rights
Justice Africa is an advocacy organisation and research institute founded in 1999 to campaign for human rights and social justice across Africa. Justice Africa contributes to understanding and resolving some of the most pressing issues on the continent, by means of conferences, media work, publications, direct engagement with policy makers, as well as initiating and supporting civil society activities for peace, justice and democracy in Africa. Our current programme in Sudan provides capacity building support to Sudanese civil society organisations in carrying out their activities to guarantee civil rights, pluralism, social justice, accountability, the rule of law and peace at a time of instability and a complex transition to democracy.

Disability
Students with learning disabilities represent a huge resource for our society, and with the proper tools and support, they can pursue (and achieve) a postsecondary education – an opportunity that might not otherwise be open to them. At The Justin Eves Foundation, that’s exactly what we strive to do: secure revenues that will directly assist students with learning disabilities to achieve a post-secondary education at an institution that can accommodate their needs. The Minds In Motion awards were established to help with the costs of tuition, specialized software, tutors, note takers and other essential accommodations that are needed so that students with learning disabilities can achieve their potential at school. Since 1997 over 300 Ontario high school graduates have received financial support to help them achieve their dream of post secondary education.

K.I.D.S. was founded in 1985 as a 501(c)(3) corporation to assist children suffering from famine in Ethiopia. Within the first 60 days, members of the children's industry donated $250,000 worth of merchandise. In the first year, K.I.D.S. sent $600,000 worth of clothes, shoes and toys to children in Ethiopia and mudslide victims in South Africa. From the initial efforts of a small group of children's industry leaders, the organization has grown into a global charity dedicated to alleviating poverty conditions among children and assisting in relief efforts following major disasters.

Every day, more than 5,000 children are injured unintentionally and of those, more than 100 require hospital attention. More children die from injury than from disease. The KIDS Foundation is a not-for-profit, health promotion charity. We are dedicated to reducing the incidence of childhood injury and death by promoting injury prevention education. Active nationally through pre-schools, primary and secondary schools, we deliver highly commended, interactive education programs and provide resources to 7,500 schools. But it is through our recovery program that we are reminded of how injury affects families. Throughout Australia we support hundreds of children and their families who have endured trauma, horrific burns and other injuries that have changed their lives.

Community/Family
This is an NGO for the people of the villages of Rural India which comprise 72.2% of our country. Our work this year too was primarily in West Bengal, where the literacy rate is fairly better than many States - 50-70% yet considered an economically backward place. We at Kadam aim at tackling the problems of uneducated youth migration to urban cities which lead to the problems of Urban Slums, unemployment, rampant violence and street children being a direct fall-out of this migration. To create employment opportunities, our volunteers and professionals work towards creating small/medium enterprises leading to greater utilization of local resources and to teach skilled artisan’s basic professionalism – concept of quality and commitment – an essential requirement to sustain themselves economically well.

Kaloko Trust UK was established in 1995 and works to improve the lives of communities in rural Zambia. We do this by working with our local partner organisation Kaloko Trust Zambia, to develop agriculture and income generation - through self-help projects - and by promoting the environmentally sustainable use of natural resources. From this basis, the Trust works to advance education and to promote the healthcare of rural communities through the development and support of a training centre, schools and health clinics. Kaloko Trust works in a rural area where there is almost no government or other support for communities.
