The Raising Hope Foundation

Based in GBR United Kingdom
Children/Education

The Raising Hope Foundation was formed in January 2009 by Kinza Mason, after visits to Ghana in 2008. We're a small UK Charity working with orphaned and vulnerable children in Ghana. We want to make a difference in a way that really matters. Currently we are working with a Ghanaian Charity, the Living Faith Foundation, to build a home for over 60 orphaned children, and hopefully transform the lives of many children in the small town of Santrokofi. In Ghana there are a large number of orphaned and needy children who are currently living in far from ideal circumstances. The 'extended family' system, that is placing children with aunts, grandparents etc, is simply not working as families are struggling just to support their own children. Our home in Santrokofi will be for those who are orphaned and have nowhere else to go. It will also be a place of support for single parents, so that their children can remain with them where possible.
