The Kenyan Children's Project
Children/Education
We care for youngsters who have nothing, and have experienced many types of rejection, abuse, abandonment and fear in their little lives. This will be through providing shelter, food, security, behavioural boundaries and individual attention. Our objective is to help each individual to be a productive and valuable member of the society in which they live. We do not want to only keep them alive, and give them hope, but help them to achieve a brighter future by education, training and life skills application. We have found that children that we care for are treated differently in state run schools. They are special and need special care and we have planning to build a large building containing 8 classrooms, more sleeping accommodation, many Toilets and showers, offices, new kitchens and dining area with a stage for drama productions. Whilst we grow at an amazing rate, we aim never to lose the central focus of giving each individual child a hope for the future, love instead of loneliness and peace in their hearts.

The Ladybug Foundation Inc.
Community/Family
"No one should have to eat out of a garbage can." Hannah's infectious spirit of believing in the simple truth 'no one should have to eat out of a garbage can' is what has inspired The Ladybug Foundation. The Ladybug Foundation is closely tied to the organizations it tries to help. We value each relationship that is cultivated with not only the directors/staff of these charities but also its patrons. Our goal is to continue to raise enough money to ease some of the financial burdens and stresses placed upon them every month. There is not one organization that does not struggle to meet the needs of the homeless on an ongoing basis. Therefore our financial goals are limitless. The Ladybug Foundation chooses to work alongside organizations that help homeless without judgement. We will continue to raise awareness and educate people in Canada based upon the same criteria.

The Leaside Trust

In an area where crime, poor housing, low academic attainment and unemployment are too common, our work offers a chance for young people to shine. We give young people choices, freedom and inspiration so that they can become active, responsible adults, whether as citizens in the community or as participants, instructors or champions at Leaside. Leaside currently provides a daytime programme for schools, holiday projects for young people, sessions and courses for organised groups of young people, and after-school, evening and Saturday activities and trips away from the centre for individual members.

The Leukaemia Foundation
Health/Medical
Established in Queensland in 1975, the Leukaemia Foundation is the only national organisation dedicated to the care and cure of patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders. Families from rural or regional Australia often need to quickly relocate to major cities to be closer to treatment centres. This is usually for extended periods of time. Relocation is particularly traumatic as it often occurs after diagnosis, resulting in patients and families adjusting to their new circumstances without the benefit of established local support networks. Combined with costly medical bills and loss of income, many families find themselves in financially crippling circumstances whilst coping with the shock and emotional turmoil associated with the diagnosis. This is where we step in, providing personalised support and care for patients and families right throughout their journey – from diagnosis, treatment to recovery. This support is provided by an extensive team of trained cancer nurses and allied health professionals and reaches every town and community across Australia .

The Library Foundation
Community/Family
The Library Foundation was established in 1995 by far-sighted citizens who understood that a great public library would not be possible through public funding alone. Since then, the foundation and the library have worked together, in a strong partnership, to determine where private support can have the greatest impact and at the same time, not supplant the public's responsibility for funding the basic operations of a strong library system.
The Little Pink Gift Foundation
Health/Medical

While individuals may qualify for public health care suport, not only do they encounter significant time delays in diagnosis and treatment, but in many cases the specific drugs needed to adequately treat the disease are not on the Government formulary and the cost of these drugs is prohibitively expensive. LPG aims to help suplement this expenses.
