More information

The Koru Foundation is the official charity of the British and European Wind Energy Associations (BWEA + EWEA) and focuses entirely on supporting the development of poor communities through renewable energy projects. We act as the link between the renewable energy industry and poor communities in the developing world, by funding and facilitating projects in partnership with local communities, governments and development organisations. We also carry out research projects to improve the delivery and efficiency of renewable energy systems, our projects use a wide range of renewable technologies from micro hydro to wind and solar, whatever is most appropriate taking into account the needs of the community and the resources available in the places where we work.
