The Egmont Trust
Research/Dev
Egmont, a UK charitable trust established in 2005, has worked with over 50 partner organisations in Southern and Eastern Africa. We recognize that the impact of HIV & AIDS on children is magnified by family breakdown, loss of education and lack of food security. Through rigorous selection of partners who are achieving tangible results, our aim is to improve tens of thousands of young lives affected by this epidemic. Egmont Trust's strategy is rare: we support a portfolio of over 50 grassroots, locally inspired initiatives that we have seen can change lives; and operate in an unbureaucratic, low-cost manner. Our Projects are driven by the energy, knowledge, experience, creativity and commitment of those directly affected are the most successful and cost-effective. We believe that it is possible to make a genuine difference quickly with small amounts of money, a good accountability and management.

When undertaking initiatives, the Elders are committed to listening to the views of all groups and individuals – and especially women and young people. The Elders work both publicly and behind the scenes and at all levels - local, national and international - lending support and advice when invited, and sometimes when it is not.

The Erasmus Foundation operates a Complementary Medicine Clinic at our headquarters in Suffolk in the UK, offering free spiritual healing. Our main form of therapy is Natural Healing, the laying on of hands. Other therapies are also available, including reflexology and homeopathy. The Fishermen International
Humanitarian Aid
The Fishermen is a non-denominational, non-political, and non-profit international aid and relief organization based in Raleigh, North Carolina. We exist to educate and provide health care to orphaned children around the world. We place emphasis upon caring for orphaned children with special needs. We all know that the children of the world embody our greatest natural resource and our hope for a better future. Orphans are no different and often have the strongest hearts and greatest drive. These children deserve the opportunity to have a good life, and they deserve the chance to realize their potential. Sadly, most orphanages are under-funded. They have good intentions but are unable to provide basic health care and are ill-equipped to educate their children properly. Since it is common practice for orphanages to evict a child once they reach the age of 18, many are forced to turn to crime or prostitution just to exist. It is our desire to give orphaned children the chance they deserve to survive, to be happy, and to grow into healthy and self-sufficient adults. We want them to believe in their future, and that they have the power to make this world a better place. We want to give the orphaned children of the world hope, one child at a time.
