The 2Simple Trust UK

Based in GBR United Kingdom
Health/Medical

Essentially we are facilitators and enablers, providing those core services that make a charity work as well as being on tap for advice and support. A helping hand and a friendly voice, bringing assistance and guidance when it is most needed. Over the past three years the Trust has become best known for its fundraising on behalf of children with neuroblastoma, a severe and usually fatal form of childhood cancer. Children's hospitals in the UK, including Great Ormond Street, are only able to offer palliative care. This means that the best hope for even a partial or medium term cure lays in treatment at the Sloane-Kettering Memorial Hospital in New York. Treatment costs can reach in excess of £500,000. Following the success of our first campaign for Jack Brown, the son of two serving Metropolitan Police officers, eight other families have joined the Trust, working with us to raise funds to help treat children suffering from this disease.

Informed by current research on the clear benefits of single sex education for girls and guided by their founding principles of innovation, community and diversity, Archer opened in a converted Pacific Palisades dance studio with just over 30 sixth and seventh grade students. More than a decade later, Archer's tremendous growth to 500 students on an eight-acre historic Sunset Boulevard campus is a testament to our role as a model of the renaissance of girls' schools. Our founders' basic premise- that girls thrive in a learning environment of their own- is now playing out across the country: since our founding, over 25 girls' schools have started in the US.
