More information
The Alliance for Children's Rights provides free legal services for impoverished children and youth so they have stable homes, access the health care and the education they need to thrive. The Alliance works to change the most troubling statistics in Los Angeles, where over a quarter of children in L.A. live in poverty and over half a million lack medical care. L.A. has the highest number of kids in foster care in the country, each year 1500 youth age out of foster care in L.A. without a family or support system. The Alliance’s primary objective is to provide stability to foster children and those at risk of entering foster care by helping them obtain healthcare, educational services and financial support so that more of them reach permanency through adoption, legal guardianship or by returning safely to their biological families.
