Anglicare

ANGLICARE is the urban mission and community care arm of the Sydney Anglican Church. As one of Australia’s largest Christian care organisations, ANGLICARE reaches out to thousands of people every year. ANGLICARE seeks to provide care for all people by addressing emotional, social and physical needs. As an organisation ANGLICARE is people centered, gospel based, inclusive and compassionate. Our care will focus on outcomes for people and communities that build resilience, sustainability and hope. It will be delivered across a number of different programs, in various sites across the Sydney Diocese. We will continue to forge positive and effective relationships with government, tertiary educational institutions, local communities and other community sector organisations. In active and practical engagement such care requires that we become a voice for those who have none, and that we provide refuge for the vulnerable, and compassion for those in need wherever we find them. It means using our own resources, as well as those provided by others, to work alongside people for the achievement of both immediate and sustainable solutions.

In Spain, a group of volunteers handles the monitoring, administration, diffusion, promotion and fundraising. They are all professionals who also generously handle the needs regarding legal advice, building design, writing or composition of texts, which is why over 90% of the contributions are sent to Kenya to be used for the children, the Shelter, the hospital and the aid programs.
Anim-Mates
Animals/Wildlife
Anim-Mates exists to relieve the suffering and distress of animals in need of care and attention, in the South East London and North West Kent. There are many reasons why animals find their way to us, it can be through abandonment, straying, the death of the owner, a relationship break-up or even moving home. Every animal that comes to Anim-Mates is cared for at a fosterers home and treated as their own pets. All animals are examined by one of our vets. Those needing veterinary treatment, stay with us until they are well enough to be rehomed. We never have an animal put down, except on veterinary advice.
Animal Advocates Society Of BC
Animals/Wildlife
When Animal Advocates Society was formed, we began to meet the people who understood that the problems of animal use and abuse go deeper than homeless dogs and cats, and who would help to make the profound changes that would help all animals, now, and in the future. We support true animal welfare groups which really work to stop factory farming, zoos, hunting, animal-entertainment, and other cruel uses of our fellow animals, and we support true no-kill shelters. We believe respect for all life is equally important to the progress of peace on earth. We believe the way we treat animals, the earth, and each other, are one and the same, and when we help one, we help all.

The Society is a 'not-for-profit' Limited Company run by a voluntary Council of Management. Although its work is completely charitable, the Society is denied charitable status because an important part of its work involves campaigning for changes in the law concerning animal protection.
Animal Aid
Animals/Wildlife
Animal Aid is set apart by its dynamic and positive attitude to the problems that face domestic animals in our society today, actively seeking to find solutions rather than simply pick up the pieces. Animal Aid is much more than just a shelter, it is a community resource. It offers a wide range of animal services that operate on a multifaceted approach to helping people to understand their animals better. We bring people and animals together, we offer refuge when they need to part and we offer education and training so we may exist more harmoniously. There are very few facets of the human animal bond that we can't cater for. We provide support to the community in a variety of ways, each with their own importance and relevance. They benefit not only to the animals but also their people.
Animal Aid Foundation
Animals/Wildlife
Animal Aid Foundation is a volunteer-based, charitable fundraising organization. The Foundation does not have paid staff and does not receive government funding. It relies on volunteer contributions, public donations and corporate support. Animal overpopulation, caused by pets that are left un-spayed and un-neutered as well as puppy mills, has created a crisis in our community. Our streets and alleys are home to hundreds of unwanted cats. And thousands of unwanted cats and dogs are sitting in shelters waiting to be adopted. Over-breeding results in homeless animals being confined to cages or euthanized simply because there is not enough room for them all. Animal Aid Foundation provides grants to financially support the projects and activities of local animal charities. Priority areas of interest are spay/neuter, veterinary medical care, adoption and public education programs.
Animal Anti-Cruelty League
Animals/Wildlife
The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL), has been protecting and caring for animals since 1956. It is South Africa's second largest independent Animal Welfare Organization, relying entirely on the generosity and goodwill of the animal-loving public for financial support. We are an organization that gets involved with all aspects of animal welfare - provide shelter for abandoned animals, promote an efficient adoption programme, prosecute animal cruelty cases, run welfare hospitals for lower income groups, visit underprivileged areas with fully equipped mobile clinics and regularly address schools and clubs on the challenges of animal welfare.
Animal Defense League of Texas
Animals/Wildlife
ADL began with just a few makeshift chicken-wire cages in response to a need to shelter stray and injured dogs and cats in the San Antonio area. Along with providing basic shelter and care, emphasis has always been placed on adopting animals to homes where they will receive loving care and attention for the rest of their lives. We enhance the quality of life for abandoned, abused, or neglected dogs and cats by providing needed medical care, including spaying and neutering. Food, shelter, and safety are also provided – along with compassion and attention. While maintaining a healthy and loving facility, ADL consistently works to find the best possible home for each resident animal.
