Suicide or Survive Ltd (SOS) provides services and supports aimed at suicide prevention in Ireland. SOS is client focused and has designed and is running an innovative group programme (The Eden Programme) that provides people who have attempted or contemplated suicide with an opportunity to explore their own experiences, develop their personal skills and source avenues of support and assistance. The ultimate aim of this programme is suicide prevention. The Eden Programme is unprecedented in Ireland and is both unique and creative in its approach. Our aim is that the programme is offered nationwide.

SOS Children's Village

SOS Children's Villages

SOS Children (also known as SOS Kinderdorf, Aldeas Infantiles SOS, SOS Villages d'Enfants) has worked for sixty years providing family-based care for children who would otherwise be alone. Today, we are the world's largest orphan and abandoned children's charity working in some 124 countries with around 78,000 children living in our care. In addition, we directly support around a million children in the local community with schools, medical centres, and family strengthening programmes (for example supporting families in Africa where the breadwinner has died of HIV/AIDS).

SOS Children's Villages

For 60 years, SOS Children's Villages has helped children who are orphaned, abandoned or whose families are unable to care for them. We give these children the opportunity to build lasting relationships within an SOS family. Since its founding in 1949, SOS Children's Villages has expanded to 500 villages in 132 countries. We are currently raising over 80,000 children in our villages and through our many education, family strengthening, medical, and outreach programs, we impact the lives of over 1 million people each year. Children who have been abandoned or orphaned come to SOS Children's Villages where they are integrated into a loving family environment. They are nurtured and supported by an SOS Mother. Strong bonds develop within these "SOS families", and even after the children are grown and leave the village, these family relationships endure.

SOS Children's Villages International

SOS Children's Villages is active in 132 countries and territories worldwide. The variety of this international work is brought together by the umbrella organisation SOS-Kinderdorf International, which unites all of the autonomous national associations. The national associations are registered and organised as a foundation, trust, association, non-profit company or society. As a full member of SOS-Kinderdorf International, they have the right to apply for funding through the umbrella association, and to request services from the General Secretariat.

SOS Children's Villages take action for children as an independent non-governmental social organization. We respect varying religions and cultures, and we work in countries and communities where our mission can contribute to development. We work in the spirit of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and we promote these rights around the world. With the SOS Children's Village concept, our organization pioneered a family approach to the long-term care of orphaned and abandoned children.

The SOS Children's Villages Association of South Africa is a member of SOS - Kinderdorf International, the largest private welfare organization for children in the world. Over 200 000 children benefit from the various residential, educational and developmental programmes operating in 135 countries. We take action for orphaned and abandoned children by building and strengthening families for them to live in and grow with love, security and respect. SOS Children's Villages build families for orphaned and abandoned children. We respect varying religions and cultures, and we work in communities where our mission can contribute to development. We work in the spirit of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and we promote these rights around the world.

Sos Hunger - Action For Development

We support farmer agriculture and its actors in developing countries, namely by giving them the means to carry out concrete and efficient actions so as to improve their income and to defend their interests. SOS Faim supports mostly farmer organisations, as well as microfinance institutions. We raise awareness in Northern populations in order to influence policies having an impact on hunger and poverty in developing countries. The mission carried out by SOS Faim is involved in a solidarity and community approach framework. A solidarity which is expressed through partnerships aiming at creating equality with Southern actors. A solidarity which is also expressed by the support of thousands of loyal donors. A Community approach which aims at raising awareness and mobilize a network of Belgian citizens in order to take over the demands of our Southern partners to the Belgian and European authorities.

SOS SAHEL

SOS Sahel UK

SOS Sahel UK has worked with herders (pastoralists) and farmers in Kordofan for nearly twenty years; helping them share access to and regenerate the natural resources (trees, land and water) that they depend upon for survival. We want to see the people of the Sahel influence the decisions that affect their lives and have control over the natural and economic resources they need for a secure and fulfilling life. With the exception of Sudan, where we directly implement a programme on the ground, our focus is regional rather than country-specific.

The Soul City Institute for Health & Development Communication, an organisation not for gain, is proud to be considered one of the world's most influential social and behavioural change programmes. Established in 1992, when South Africa was on the brink of democratic change, Soul City has remained a health promotion organisation, subscribing to the principles of the World Health Organisation’s Ottawa Charter.

Soulforce

The primary source of spiritual violence and misinformation against gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) individuals comes from religious leaders and institutions who adhere to a rigid theology and misguided teachings used to condemn and shame non-heterosexuals. It is the mission of Soulforce to work to end spiritual violence perpetuated by these anti-gay religious policies and teachings. It is our hope that by learning about these policies, dialoguing with denominational leaders, and taking action, we can help cut off the suffering at its source. We seek freedom from religious and political oppression for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning people. We believe in relentless nonviolent resistance against religious and political oppression of LGBTQ people. We believe that the LGBTQ community consists of people from every race, class, and walk of life and that the liberation of LGBTQ people cannot be achieved without working in solidarity against all forms of discrimination and oppression.

South Africa Foundation

Our policy rests on five pillars: sustainability, empowerment, ownership, transparency, and cooperation. Our main target group consists of children and youths in townships in South-Africa. Together with a number of partners, the Stichting Projecten Zuid-Afrika - South Africa Foundation selects and supports local projects and organisations in South Africa. Our 'core business' is education.

South African National Bird Of Prey Centre

The SA National Bird of Prey Centre and Wildlife Sanctuary is a registered non profit organization 009/768. We have been in existence for 13 years. All the members of our family have the knowledge, love and skill to work with Birds of Prey and Cheetah inspired by Trevor Oertel. South Coast Hospice

South Coast Hospice, a non-profit organisation, is committed to serving the community of the Ugu Health District by providing specialised palliative care for patients with severe progressive diseases, as well as their families. Care is given in the patient’s own home, backed up by our In Patient Unit and local health facilities. We are committed to the training and development of our staff and volunteers, other health carers and the community.

South West Environment Centre

We are the peak conservation group for the Greater Bunbury region of Western Australia (WA), having been active since 1991, and we are working for a better environment for the future and towards a sustainable future for the whole planet, with main focus on local issues but also state, national and global. SWEC promotes environmental awareness through public education and the media, monitors proposed projects, lobbies for better practices, works cooperatively with other agencies and publishes a comprehensive newsletter every two months for members and schools.

Southeastern Legal Foundation is a public interest law firm which advocates limited government, individual economic freedom, and the free enterprise system. We look for cases in which our involvement can make a difference, not just to the parties involved, but also on the policies or issues that are in dispute. We believe that the U.S. Constitution is a complete document, creating limits on government. When government - federal, state and local - goes beyond the constitutional limits, we are there to enforce constitutional limitations. We are not a single-issue organization; rather, we are a conservative public interest law firm and policy center dedicated to creating binding legal precedent and positive public policy change for all Americans.

Southeastern Natural Sciences Academy

The Academy's programs reflect the diverse interests of the community that we serve. While school programs are currently our most extensive effort, we also offer public tours, scout programs, teacher workshops, summer eco-camps, and various other events throughout the year. We also provide an ideal laboratory for studying water quality, watershed ecology, and urban river impacts in order to recommend approaches to watershed management and sustainability of river resources.
