One of Australia’s major charities, the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) is also Australia’s premier special educator. RIDBC’s primary purpose is to provide high quality educational services to children who have significant hearing and/or vision impairment, including children who have additional disabilities. We offer choices and options in educational approaches and settings, commencing the educational process as soon as the diagnosis of significant hearing or vision impairment has been made. We provide children’s audiological services, including diagnostic audiology and we assist parents and families in catering to the special needs of the child. RIDBC conducts in conjunction with a university, a centre for research and professional development, and publishes and disseminates research papers, conducts conferences and seminars and participates in national and international forums.

The Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) was founded in England in 1891 to combat a high drowning toll. The techniques advocated by the Society were soon adopted by many countries and today the RLSS represents the largest single organisation dedicated to the teaching of lifesaving and the prevention of drowning. The first Australian Branch was formed in New South Wales in 1894 and the movement soon spread to all States. In subsequent years the Society focused its attention on water safety education and rescue training for inland areas, and particularly for school children. Today, RLSSA operates as Australia's leading water safety educator - a not for profit charitable organisation, public benevolent institution (PBI) and volunteer community service organisation with a Branch in every State and Territory of Australia. Branches conduct courses in water safety, lifesaving, resuscitation, first aid and lifeguarding and provide an extensive range of the highest quality resources

The WCH Foundation is the official charity of the Women's & Children's Hospital in Adelaide, South Australia. As the official charity, the WCH Foundation exists to help the hospital provide world class care and facilities to the thousands of women, babies and young people who are treated there every year. The WCH Foundation has given in excess of $18 million in support of the Women's & Children's Hospital since 2004. We help the Hospital in any way we can, through purchasing vital new equipment, funding life saving research and initiating health promotion programs. In our Arts in health program artists are invited to donate an art work on canvas to celebrate Mothers. The artworks are for sale and all funds will go towards the Women’s & Children’s Hospital to help support Mums and their babies. Our health research is about exploring the unknown and discovering new ways of not just treating and curing disease, but finding ways of preventing the problem in the first place.

The role of the Royal Marines Association (RMA) is to maintain and promote esprit de corps and comradeship amongst all Royal Marines and their families, past and present. The RMA is established in Branches all over the country and overseas to keep members in touch with one another. The RMA is an integral part of the "Corps Family". A vital task for the RMA is to support the Serving Corps, including the Royal Marines Reserve and the Royal Marines Band Service. In addition, the RMA spends a lot of time raising funds to help them, veterans and their families.

Within the eight years of the RSGs being part of the Rufford Maurice Laing Foundation, in excess of 900 projects in over 95 countries have been supported. The Rufford Small Grants Foundation intends to build on this success.

Ruhama is a Dublin-based NGO which works on a national level with women affected by prostitution. Our service is comprehensive to meet the broad range of experiences of women affected by prostitution. We provide a service to women who are currently involved in on-street and off-street prostitution, women who are exiting prostitution, women who are victims of sex trafficking and women who have a history of prostitution. Ruhama (Hebrew for renewed life) regards prostitution as violence against women and a violation of women's human rights. We see prostitution and the social and cultural attitudes which sustain it as being deeply rooted in gender inequality and social marginalisation.

Rukungiri Orphan Partnership was set up to assist Alice and John Tumusiime with their vision of helping orphan children in their locality to get an education. They started to build a school in 1992 and friends of theirs in the UK began a fund to help with this work. Several churches and groups, as well as individuals, either sponsor children or do fund raising events in order to help educate these youngsters.
Ruperra Conservation Trust

Ruperra Conservation Trust was formed in 1996, and owns Coed Craig Ruperra, a 150 acre woodland between Newport and Cardiff in South Wales. The woodland originally formed part of the large Ruperra estate and is situated to the north of the ruined Ruperra Castle. It lies in a Special Landscape Area, while the entire Ruperra Parkland is a Conservation Area and graded II on the Cadw/ICOMOS register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales. Ruperra Conservation Trust received a management grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and by the end of the winter in March 2002 the woodland had been replanted with native broadleaf seedlings - ash, oak, rowan, alder and hazel. The Trust hopes to make Coed Craig Ruperra a pleasant place for quiet enjoyment and to encourage the ancient wildlife to return.
