Rainforest Rescue started in 1998 when Kelvin Davies and Dr Tony Parkes met to bring together their ideas for rainforest conservation. They soon gained the interest of Kathryn Biggs and Dr Julia Playford and together they formed the team that established the focus and direction of Rainforest Rescue. Rainforest Rescue is a not-for-profit organisation that has been protecting and restoring rainforests in Australia and internationally since 1998 by providing opportunities for individuals and businesses to Protect Rainforests Forever. Our projects re-establish rainforests through planting, maintenance and restoration programs, as well as purchasing and protecting high conservation value rainforest and preserving its biodiversity. Rainforest Rescue is an Australian Company Limited by Guarantee, managed by a Board of Directors who contribute their service on a voluntary basis.

The Rainy Day Trust is the only charity which exists solely to help people who have worked in the UK's Home Improvement and Home Enhancement business: DIY Shops, Hardware Stores, Garden Centres, Cookshops, and all the manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers who supply them. The Society was founded to grant pensions to 'distressed members of the trade and their widows’ who were in the ‘Iron, Hardware and Metal Trades' – the Victorian terminology for our current Home Improvement and Home Enhancement industries. Today, with an estimated 1 million eligible current and past employees from the combined home improvements and home enhancement industries, the charity is experiencing a steady, and very disturbing, increase in applications for assistance from colleagues who have for worked for many years in our industry, only to find that their working lives are being tragically cut short due to the unforeseen diagnosis of debilitating diseases.

In 2006 Madonna and Michael Berg founded Raising Malawi to bring an end to the extreme poverty and hardship endured by Malawi's 2,000,000 orphans and vulnerable children once and for all. Raising Malawi supports community-based organizations that provide vulnerable children and caregivers with the critical resources. In addition, Raising Malawi supports non-government organizations that offer impoverished families with innovative opportunities for sustainability. Raising Malawi collaborates with a vast range of partners. In this way, we can be sure the dedicated people on the ground and in the villages who really understand Malawi’s challenges are able to bring Malawians the help they need.

Raising Voices is a results-oriented organization based in Kampala, Uganda. It is recognized regionally and internationally as a pioneer in preventative approaches with proven capacity for creative and practical programs. We are regularly sought out by a variety of international organizations and decision-makers to consult on program design and development, provide technical support and capacity building on violence against women and children, and human rights. Raising Voices works to prevent violence against women by addressing the root causes such as traditional gender roles and the imbalance of power between women and men. We focus on primary prevention approaches that attempt to change the attitudes and behaviors that perpetuate violence against women. We received the Women’s Safety Award from Women and Cities International in 2004 for innovative efforts to prevent violence against women. Currently we are also implementing various programs to prevent and respond to violence against children.

Raleigh is not just about an expedition; it's about being part of a community of like-minded people. Ordinary people who want to do something extraordinary with their lives, make a difference in the world and new friends along the way. Our vision is to inspire a generation to be all that they can be; to awaken a sense of life-purpose and belonging, and unite them as part of a global community who can work together to rise to the challenges of the world we live in. As a charity, we raise funds to make our expeditions the best possible experience for the volunteers and the local communities. In this role, we act as a catalyst for change, bringing local communities together, sometimes for the first time as one team and giving them the resources and motivation to achieve sustainable development.

RandomKid is a nonprofit that was founded in 2005 creating a philanthropic force, voice and entity for America's youth, enabling their giving power to be recognized and ranked with top U.S. corporations. Randomkid now works to harness the giving power of kids toward other great causes. We educate, mobilize, unify and empower youth, nationally and internationally, in order to directly impact a broad spectrum of local, national and global needs. All our programs and projects are initiated by Kids; random kids. For us, it's all about the "Power of ANY One." Kids often have BIG ideas. RandomKid takes their ideas for a better tomorrow seriously and helps them generate the momentum that inspires others in order to make their ideas a reality. Some kids come to us simply wanting to be a part of something great. We help these kids identify projects that would be meaningful to them, bringing their unique abilities and talents to these projects in order to help knock them out of the park. Our vision is to take the goodness of the child and turn it into goodness for the world by helping kids help others.

Environment
RCF’s primary work is in and around the 1,000,000 acre Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Communal Conservation Area (ACRCTT) in the Amazon basin of northeastern Peru. The ACRCTT is one of the largest protected areas in Peru and one of the most biologically diverse places on earth, with river dolphins, manatees, 14 species of monkeys, jaguars, and thousands of species of birds, bats, fish, snakes, plants, fungi, etc., many of which have not yet been “discovered” by modern science. RCF works with local people and governments to promote conservation and provide alternatives to environmentally destructive practices. The people living along the rivers subsist primarily by fishing, limited hunting and non-mechanical “garden” agriculture.

Rangitoto Islands' unique geological and natural attributes are of international interest. What is less known is that the three Bach Settlements of Rangitoto Wharf, Islington Bay and Beacon End are also of national importance. Because other bach communities, which were prevalent throughout the country, have virtually disappeared, the Rangitoto bach settlements are irreplaceable artefacts of New Zealand's architectural, and social history and therefore are important beyond their locality.

RAINN relies on support from donors like you. Without your help, the National Sexual Assault Hotline, Online Hotline, RAINN Day, and other vital programs would cease to function. We are committed to winning and keeping your trust by meeting the highest standards of fiscal management, program effectiveness, and governance. We are proud to count entertainers, athletes, media networks and corporations as our partners. And, we are equally pleased to have the financial and volunteer support of tens of thousands of individuals across the U.S., from our RAINNMakers who raise money to support our programs to RAINN Day volunteers committed to ending sexual assault on over 1000 campuses across the country.

Humanitarian Aid
Rapid Response is a registered non-profit organization based in Chennai, Tamilandu, India. As a disaster relief agency, we help people to survive and rebuild their lives through our food, medical, shelter, education and livelihood programs. Powerful Monsoon and 60 hours of continuous heavy rain with cloud burst devastated five districts in northern hill state of Uttarakhand. It is estimated that over 10,000 people have killed and several thousand are still missing. Around 100,000 people are badly affected and immense damage has taken place to their houses, animals and livelihood. We need your help to support the people affected.

Animals/Wildlife
There are a number of rare livestock breeds currently found in New Zealand. These range from breeds for which numbers are so small that their survival is endangered, to minority breeds which need to be kept under surveillance. The Rare Breeds Conservation Society of New Zealand was formed to conserve, record and promote these breeds with the particular aim of maintaining genetic diversity within our livestock species.

The Rathbone family has been fighting injustice and helping people less fortunate than themselves for over 250 years. The Rathbones started up businesses in Liverpool as early as 1742, mainly in the timber trade, merchant shipping and banking. Today, simply called 'Rathbone', the organisation still works towards helping anyone whose needs have not been met by education, or who needs support to overcome their barriers to learning, training or employment. We currently provide opportunities for young people to transform their life-circumstances by re-engaging with learning, discovering their ability to succeed and achieving progression to further education, training and employment. Each year over 15,000 young people join our programmes.

Ravinia is a place where you can meet up with your friends, have a wonderful time and hear some of the greatest music in the world. We've got stars on the stage and stars in the sky, and it's all within your reach. But there's more to Ravinia than merely the world's greatest music. For as many people who walk through Ravinia's gate each summer, there are just as many ways to enjoy what we call "The Ravinia Experience." For some, it all starts with a picnic picked up along the way, followed by a hop on the train and greeting your friends at your favorite spot on the lawn. Gradually, day turns into evening, and from the comfort of your perfect lawn spot, it culminates in a great concert by candlelight as you gaze at the stars above.

The Resource Center Parents and Children (RCPC) has grown in size, strength, and commitment since 1973, when it was started by a small group of concerned Fairbanks citizens who met as the Fairbanks Child Protection Task Force (FCPTF) to discuss the problems of child abuse and neglect in the Fairbanks community. Over the years our programs and services have varied; however, all have focused on the same mission. The prevention of child abuse and neglect begins with strengthening the family structure, helping parents with parenting skills, and providing a safe place for parents to share and deal with parenting issues. The Resource Center for Parents and Children has been successful due to quality staff, programs and countless volunteers and social service agency partners.

Human Rights
The Coalition seeks to give clear voice to the reproductive issues of people of color, those living in poverty, and other underserved populations. RCRC was founded in 1973 to safeguard the newly won constitutional right to abortion. The founders believed that there would be at most a ten-year struggle to secure the right to choose. In fact the struggle is far from over. It has changed and intensified, and the stakes are growing. Today, the Religious Coalition comprises national organizations from major faiths and traditions and religiously affiliated and independent religious organizations, affiliates throughout the country, and individuals who support reproductive choice and religious freedom. We have a strong presence on Capitol Hill, working for policies to ensure reproductive healthservices are available to all, regardless of income and to strengthen reproductive justice.

Children/Education
Reach For A Dream fulfils the dreams of children between the ages of 3 and 18 who have been diagnosed as having a life-threatening illness by a medical practitioner. Reach For A Dream believes that no child should live without hope. For children who have been diagnosed as having a life-threatening illness, the magic of childhood may be lost in the emotional, physical and financial strain of dealing with their illness. Reach For A Dream tries to alleviate some of this strain (which often affects the whole family), by creating a different environment for the child – one that is not focused on her/ his illness. We would like our children to find their laughter again and therein find the strength to live beyond their illnesses.
