Orphanage Outreach

Orphanage Outreach was incorporated in 1995, and volunteers and donors have been getting involved in our mission ever since. Over 10,000 short term volunteers have worked with Orphanage Outreach since that time. The Orphanage Outreach financial assistance is primarily focused on the orphanage basic necessities educational needs, and on university education for orphanage children. Orphanage Outreach volunteer resources are focused both on the orphanage children, and the many disadvantaged children of the Monte Cristi community. The volunteer program during the school year is primarily focused on teaching English in the local schools at at the Orphanage Outreach English Institute. During the summer, volunteers are involved in providing learning camps.

OrphanAid Africa

OrphanAid Africa helps families of children at risk of abandonment and gives them secure futures within their communities. Our goal is to strengthen families and communities so they can care for their own children. We work to keep families together, send children to school, keep mothers alive and protect children by transforming systems. Most of the children in “orphanages” in Ghana are not really orphans but their parents and extended families find it difficult to care for them because of the burden of poverty, disease, and lack of social protection. They end up sending them to “orphanages” simply to ensure access to food and education. We help families of children at risk of abandonment and give them secure futures within their communities. Families are forever, and even in the era of HIV/AIDS, they provide a vital safety net. We work to strengthen families and communities so they can care for their own children. We believe that poverty and ill health are not reasons for separating children from their families, and that children living in institutions should be resettled as soon as possible through family tracing and reunification or fostering.

Orphans Aid International

Orphans Aid International is a Charitable Trust, founded and run by people who care about the marginalised and disadvantaged amongst us. We care about the child who has no parent, the child who has no home, the child who is not loved. We care enough to do something about it. We’re throwing a life line to children and adults who desperately need assistance. We are a diverse team of staff and volunteers. The one thing we all have is a passion to see children loved and cared for the way God intended.

Orphans of Rwanda, Inc. (ORI)

Founded in 2004, Orphans of Rwanda, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting orphans and vulnerable young people in Rwanda who have been affected by the 1994 genocide and diseases such as HIV/AIDS and malaria. ORI provides holistic support – including tuition, housing, healthcare, counseling and a range of supplemental training programs – to ensure that its students are prepared to excel.

Orphans Relief

Orphans Relief is a registered Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) with the Charity Commission in England and Wales. We work in a number of different countries, predominantly in Africa, to help relieve poverty amongst orphaned children. Most of our work is undertaken by doctors who give some of their spare time, and their money, to help further our projects.

Orpheus Centre

The Orpheus Centre was founded by entertainer and musician Richard Stilgoe in his former family home in Godstone in 1998. As a performing arts centre, we put on a number of events throughout the year. As well as our popular shows in our barn theatre at the end of our short courses, we also produce a wide number of workshops and performances within the community as part of our outreach programme. On top of our regular programme we have a number of high profile events coming up throughout the year. We have a pioneering spirit; taking a lead in finding new and effective ways of working in the learning, arts and social care sectorsService users are young disabled people who wish to develop their confidence, independence and life skills. Service users will have a physical impairment and/or learning need, and/or sensory impairment.

ORT America

Organized as the result of a merger between American ORT (incorporated in 1922) and Women's American ORT (created in 1927) in 2007, ORT supporters are part of a global movement that enriches entire communities by educating the individuals within them. Whether that involves reaching young at-risk students in Tel Aviv, Israel, or adult immigrants to the United States adjusting to a new homeland and language, ORT adapts its programming to the particular challenges of a country and community. In doing so, ORT is best equipped to help its students succeed in the local economy. ORT's educational institutions offer students an outstanding curriculum, which emphasizes culture alongside academic achievement.

ORT SA

ORT SA is a non-profit developmental organisation that believes in its philosophy of "Educating for Life". We are locally and internationally recognised by governments and large corporations. Every year ORT SA helps to build South Africa through education. This means that each year tens - of - thousands of South Africans benefit by learning skills and being placed in jobs, growing or starting up a successful business or receiving cutting edge training and support in the areas of Maths, Science, Technology and ICT. It is important to note that, for ORT SA, education is more than basic schooling. It's about empowerment and support. Only then can poverty be eradicated and meaningful lives be built.

Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation

The Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) is the one foundation serving the entire orthopaedic community. In 1955, leaders of the major professional organizations in the specialty – the American Orthopaedic Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Orthopaedic Research Society – established OREF as a means of supporting research and education toward building the scientific base of clinical practice. Since 1955, the Foundation has raised nearly $95 million and holds a unique place in American medicine.

OSAR

Oshkosh Area Humane Society

The Oshkosh Area Humane Society is an animal welfare organization that operates the Oshkosh Animal Shelter. As a non-profit, 501(C)(3) organization, OAHS does not receive any city, state, federal funding or United Way fundraising dollars. OAHS relies on the financial support of private citizens and area businesses.

Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation

Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is a genetic disorder characterized by fragile bones that break easily. It is also known as "brittle bone disease." A person is born with this disorder and is affected throughout his or her life time. The Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation, Inc. (OI Foundation) is the only voluntary national health organization dedicated to helping people cope with the problems associated with osteogenesis imperfecta.

Osteoporosis Australia

Osteoporosis Australia aims to reduce fractures and improve bone health in the community. Osteoporosis Australia improves awareness about the disease in the Australian community and reduce fractures. We improve prevention and management strategies, and increase GP and other health professionals understanding of osteoporosis. We want to act as an effective lobby voice in federal Government, and fund research in bone metabolism and related issues.

Otesha Project Uk

At the heart and soul of Otesha you'll find our cycle tours, where teams of young people cycle up and down the country, inspiring thousands of people along the way to create social and environmental change through their everyday lives. But we also do other things too. We started up our Change Projects to work with young people over a longer period of time. We're also starting to help unemployed young people develop the skills and experience they need to find world-changing careers. From time to time, we also support special projects for new young leaders who want to tackle big social and environmental challenges. Last year, we helped to create, train and coordinate the first ever UK Youth Delegation to a UN Climate Change Conference.

Ottawa-Carleton Wildlife Centre

It is our goal to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining wildlife and wildlife habitat, and to give people the knowledge to live in harmony with nature. The OCWC strongly believes that appreciating the wildlife in our backyards is the first step in conservation and that all major change has to start with one individual's actions. The Ottawa-Carleton Wildlife Centre is committed to educating people about wildlife and helping to foster an appreciation for the natural world and the importance of protecting biodiversity as well as give people the basic tools to solve human/wildlife conflicts in a humane and cost-effective way, allowing them to live in greater harmony with nature.

Our Lady of Mercy Community Services

OLAM is a registered charitable organization under the laws of Ghana. Its offices are located in Accra and Navrongo in the Upper East Region of Northern Ghana. OLAM aims and objectives are working towards sustainable poverty reduction, community development and networking for the betterment of humanity. OUR LADY OF MERCY COMMUNITY SERVICES is a registered not-for profit, voluntary development organisation under the laws of Ghana. It is registered with the Registrar General Department and as a charity with the Social Welfare Department with registartion number D. S. W / 2982. Its location is in Accra and the Northern Regions with much concentration in and around Northern Ghana. The Organisation exist to offer opportunities to orphans, HIV/AIDS victims,school dropouts and the underprivileged youth within the Greater Accra, Northern and Upper Regions of Ghana. To Empower women, especially rural women by providing them with self employment opportunities and campaigns on their rights as women. To undertake community development and environmental programs that seek to fight poverty and to improve upon the natural environment in the Upper East Region and other parts of Ghana. Advocacy on prevention and diseases control, Nutrition, Health Education, Family planning and Reproductive Health Services.We also undertake skills, Enterpreneurship Development programmes, micro finance schemes, sporting and cultural activities as a means of promoting peace and women empowerment.

Our Military Kids

Our Military Kids provides tangible support to the children of deployed National Guard and Military Reserve personnel and to the children of the severely injured service members through grants for sports, fine arts and tutoring that nurture and sustain the children during the time a parent is away in service to our country. Our Military Kids grants are made to honor the sacrifices military parents make and to ensure that the children have access to activities and support that help the children better cope with challenges arising during a parent's deployment or injury recovery.

Our Sansar

Our Sansar is a young and dynamic NGO committed to helping the world's poorest communities to lift themselves out of poverty. We make a serious and sustainable impact upon impoverished communities by tackling both the causes and effects of poverty, we assist street children and young people from less fortunate families in their personal development, while working in partnership with local schools, communities and organisations to facilitate social change. We foster an open and inclusive environment for the sharing and development of skills and ideas, and provide advocacy and lobby governments on key development issue.

Outreach 3 Way

Outreach 3Way is a growing Sussex-based charity with a rich local heritage. Our roots lie in the vision of one exceptional man, the late Reverend Edgar Wallace. We continue his life's work by placing inclusion and respect for all at the centre of our work. We support more than 140 people each week at our Day Centre in Ifield. We manage a range of homes throughout Sussex and support people in individual tenancies. We are proud of our reputation for the highest standards of care and professionalism. We value diversity and believe that everyone has a right to participate in and be a part of their community.

Outreach International
