Today, more than ever, the value of an international education is immeasurable. To a world whose economical and social boundaries are disappearing, Le Rosey makes an important contribuition by virtue of its international and multi-lingual academic focus as well as through the multicultural, mutually supportive and respectful environment it affords its students. You appreciate, as we do, the benefits of learning to work both independently and in collaboration with fellow students, distinguishing oneself while developing a sense of social responsability. We want to ensure that this spirit continues to flourish in future generations.

Founded by three Detroit area Lions Clubs members in 1939, Leader Dogs for the Blind provides guide dogs to people who are blind and visually impaired to enhance their mobility, independence and quality of life. Each year, over 270 students attend our 26-day residential training program to be paired with a guide dog. This is a life-changing event that opens the door to independence, safety and self-worth for many of our students. In addition to our guide dog program, we offer programs that enhance a person’s independence and quality of life in other ways, including orientation and mobility training, GPS training, and seminars for Orientation and Mobility professionals. Currently, Leader Dog is the only facility in the Western Hemisphere to teach Deaf-blind students to work with a guide dog.

Cops, prosecutors, judges and everyday citizens are joining together to fight back against the failed, dangerous and expensive "war on drugs." LEAP's goals are: 1. To educate the public, the media, and policy makers, to the failure of current drug policy by presenting a true picture of the history, causes and effects of drug abuse and the crimes related to drug prohibition and 2. To restore the public's respect for law enforcement, which has been greatly diminished by its involvement in imposing drug prohibition. LEAP's main strategy for accomplishing these goals is to create a constantly enlarging speakers bureau staffed with knowledgeable and articulate former drug-warriors who describe the impact of current drug policies on: police/community relations; the safety of law enforcement officers and suspects; police corruption and misconduct; and the financial and human costs associated with current drug policies.

Since our creation in 1994, LfL has worked hard to provide education that is realistic and relevant to people's lives. Learning for Life UK enables South Asia's poorest populations to gain access to education, health and employment. These basic human rights form the first, essential step in overcoming poverty. We work with local partners to provide education for children, training for teachers, certified vocational training for safe employment and catch up education for adolescents, and reproductive health and HIV/AIDS awareness for communities in South Asia. We provide our local partners, who understand local issues, with the skills and support to help communities set up and manage practical and sustainable projects that meet their real needs.
