To facilitate change and development through strengthening the competence and capacity of partner organizations, providing opportunities for people to reach their potential and enhancing mutual learning and change processes.

ADRA Norway (Adventist Development and Relief Agency) was established as a foundation in April 1993 by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Norway. Their work builds on a long tradition of social welfare work done by the church members for more than 80 years. There has been a shift from handouts and charity to long term and sustainable development done in partnership with the local communities themselves. Even for emergency management, a longer term perspective is applied.
