The stresses placed on the targets of bullying have far reaching effects on the emotional health and wellbeing, educational successes and subsequent life chances. BulliesOut provides much needed help support and information to individuals, schools, youth and community settings affected by bullying. The charity was established in May 2006 and the determination and tireless work of its team ensures that thousands of young people are helped and supported through this cruel act each year. A series of core programmes have been designed in direct response to the needs expressed by schools, stakeholders, children, young people, parents and carers.

Bullitt Foundation
Environment
The Foundation's geographic focus is Washington, Oregon, Idaho, western Montana (including the Rocky Mountain range), coastal Alaska and British Columbia. Within that broad geographic range, work is targeted to specific sub-regions generally associated with major population centers or selected rural areas experiencing significant growth pressures. The Foundation looks for high risk, high potential payoff opportunities to exert unusual leverage. It has a special interest in demonstrating innovative approaches that promise to solve multiple problems simultaneously. It strives to build the intellectual foundations and political support needed for sweeping innovation. The Bullitt Foundation places high value on being nimble and able to respond quickly to emerging threats and opportunities, while still acting with deliberation and strategic sensibility. At any moment, within its broad mission, the Foundation will be focused on a relatively small subset of explicit priorities that appear especially ripe for progress.
Bumala Trust
Research/Dev
The Bumala Trust was set up in 2002 by Janet from Newton Abbot and her husband Peter Weyama (who originates from Bumala and is head of his clan) after having visited the area of Bumala in N.W. Kenya and realising the great need of so many people, young and old, with their own eyes. The Bumala Trust works to relieve the sickness of orphans and widows suffering from HIV/AIDS in and around the village of Bumala in North West Kenya, to advance the education and relieve the poverty of orphans, their carers and widows in the area. There are hundreds of children who are starving with no homes of their own, very little clothing, no education, no medical advice - and no future! By donating every month, you could help to change this. Sponsoring an orphan will provide food and clothing to send a child to school and also provide basic medical care. At the moment, these orphans are living with their extended families.
Bumblebee Conservation Trust
Animals/Wildlife
The Bumblebee Conservation Trust was founded in response to growing concerns about the "plight of the bumblebee". In the last 70 years two species have become nationally extinct and several others have experienced dramatic declines. We now have over 6,000 members ranging from enthusiastic and concerned amateurs right through to internationally renowned research scientists. All of us share a common affection for these affable insects and a desire to see them conserved for future generations.
Burma Action Ireland
Human Rights
Burma Action Ireland was set up in May 1996 to raise awareness of the current situation in Burma and the repressive nature of the ruling regime, currently named the State Peace and Development Council (SPDC). It is composed of individuals involved in development, human rights and justice issues. The association is non-party political, non-denominational and committed to non-violent means. It does not take policy positions on issues unrelated to Burma. We campaign for democracy and human rights in Burma and for the immediate initiation of dialogue between the ruling SPDC, the National League for Democracy (NLD) and the leaders of the ethnic nationalities which would lead to a new constitution, democratic government and the ending of internal conflicts. We work towards the release of all political prisoners of conscience and full respect for human rights, the safe return of all refugees to their homes with international protection. Our work includes lobbying for positive change in Burma, campaigns, petitions signings, the publication of the BAI newsletter and hosting Burmese visitors in Ireland.
Burma Children’s Fund
Children/Education
We support orphanages, clinics and pre-schools for infants and younger children where we know that the staff are dedicated and that the money they receive is spent on the children and for the direct benefit of the children. Children are the innocent victims of the adult problems. They are too young to help themselves and need the support of adults to care for them and to run the nurseries, pre-schools and orphanages that feed, clothe and educate them. The children are the future of Burma, and hopefully one day they will become people who can give back to their country and strengthen it. We are currently giving ongoing support to orphanages in various parts of Burma and have provided one off funding to other orphanages including a number in and around the commercial capital Rangoon. We are supporting pre–schools and nurseries in many accessible parts of the country and are frequently being asked to support more of them. We provide some support for health education programmes that are aimed at, or benefit , children and seek to support the work of the clinics involved.

As a non-proft organization we rely on your generous support to keep our programs running. Take a step in reducing your carbon footprint by getting involved today.

Bushbabies S.O.S.
Animals/Wildlife
Bushbaby SOS - formed a few years ago, has reached many milestones. We have rehabilitated a barren piece of wasteland into a special bushbaby reserve full of indigenous trees and plants. We try to monitor all new developments in the area and persuade developers and residents to make bushbaby friendly complexes. We have planted over 700 indigenous trees in the area, mostly along the streets, which are forming the bushbaby corridors, these will assist the bushbabies with their general well being as well as keeping their gene pools healthy. Crawford prep has a family of babes and we have lined the perimeter fences with 80 odd trees with more trees to be planted shortly. TEAM BUSHBABY encourages and teaches children to appreciate nature and to treasure and care for our threatened environment.

Busoga Trust
Research/Dev
The Busoga Trust is a long established charity that installs clean water sources throughout Uganda. Allied to this are Home Improvement Campaigns and a comprehensive programme to educate people in better hygiene. Most rural people have to drink polluted water. Disease flourishes in conditions like these, resulting in high infant mortality and poor quality of life. The programmes we run can reduce the incidence of disease dramatically. We aim to eradicate the problems caused by polluted water by installing hand-dug wells, boreholes and water catchments which provide clean water to the people. Construction is overseen by trained engineers but for the most part the work is done by the local community which generates a strong sense of ownership. A further development is represented by Home Improvement Campaigns. In communities where they have been implemented, spectacular reductions in the incidence of diseases such as malaria have resulted.
Butterflies
Children/Education
Butterflies is a registered voluntary organization working with street and working children in Delhi since 1989. We believe in the right of every child to have a full-fledged childhood where she/he has the right to protection, respect, opportunities and participation in his/her growth and development. Rights of street and working children are no exception. Butterflies is committed to a non-institutional approach, follows principle of democracy and promotes children’s participation in decision making as part of its programme planning, monitoring and evaluation. Given its belief in participation of children in all our activities, it is more appropriately called a "Programme with Street and Working Children". Our main aim is to empower street and working children with skills and knowledge to protect their rights and to develop them as respected and productive citizens. We use the Constitution of India, Laws related to Children and UN Convention on the Rights of the Child as a major tool for ensuring government and public accountability for all.
Butterfly Conservation Trust
Animals/Wildlife
Butterfly Conservation was formed by a small group of dedicated naturalists in 1968 following the alarming decline of many beautiful butterflies. Most British butterfly species remain in decline. We aim to halt and reverse these declines. Our vision is of a world rich in butterflies for future generations to enjoy. We are also committed to the conservation of moths, which are close relatives of butterflies and are in rapid decline. Butterflies are beautiful and intrinsically valuable. Together with moths, their sensitivity to environmental change makes them valuable indicators of the health of the countryside.
