RedR is an international charity that provides training and recruitment services for the humanitarian sector, improving emergency response worldwide. For the past 30 years, we have been helping rebuild the lives of those affected by disaster. RedR rebuilds lives in times of disaster by training, supporting and providing aid workers to relief programmes across the world. We do this by delivering appropriate and specialist training to relief organisations and their staff, enabling them to respond to the needs of those affected, effeciently and safely. We also help to ensure that skilled professionals are always available to respond to major global emergencies through our aid worker recruitment service and by advising and training potential new relief workers.

Redwings Horse Sanctuary began in May 1991 as a non-profit, organization in Carmel, California, with a mission to end the abuse, neglect, and slaughter of horses, ponies, donkeys, mules, and burros through rescue and foster care. In its first year, Redwings rescued 15 equines from abusive or life-threatening situations. Redwings staff then rehabilitated the equines and matched them with carefully-screened adoptive homes. Redwings also addressed educational, financial, and other factors behind equine neglect. The organization initiated several programs including an equine education program for new owners, and an equine medical assistance program for owners with low incomes.

Redwings is the UK's largest horse sanctuary, caring for over 1,100 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules every day. Our work is funded solely by donations and with your help we can give these animals the best possible care so they can eventually be re-homed or enjoy a home for life at the Sanctuary. Redwings would like every horse, pony, donkey and mule in the UK to enjoy a good quality of life and our welfare team work in lots of different ways to help improve welfare for horses all over the country. At Redwings we believe firmly in second chances for all equines.

The REEF-WORLD Foundation is a UK-based charity that has worked with local people to conserve coral reefs in Thailand for over 10 years. Our field of experience has been in working with both the diving community and local fishing communities to provide information about life on coral reefs and helping members of those communities find their own role in wider plans to protect reefs and related ecosystems.

RWMC work focuses primarily on marine and coastal conservation. The RWMC research team has done extensive work in monitoring and documenting spatio-temporal changes in coral reef ecosystems in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and in the Lakshadweep Islands. RWMC has been doing research on endangered marine animals and critical habitats for their effective conservation and management, and has been instrumental in getting legal protection to several marine endangered species under Indian Wildlife Protection Act (1972).

We believe that every woman and child experiencing domestic violence has different needs – there is no single package of services to meet those needs, no ‘one size fits all’. Refuge offers a range of services which gives women and children access to professional support whatever their situation. Our refuges provide emergency accommodation for women fleeing abuse. But they are more than just a roof over a head, they give women the time and space to make decisions about their futures. Our specialist refuge staff are on hand to provide emotional and practical support.

Refugee Action has over 28 years' experience in the reception, resettlement, development and integration of asylum seekers and refugees. Refugee Action’s Asylum Advice teams provide a reception service for newly arrived asylum seekers, as well as advice and advocacy. Refugee Action’s community development workers promote the development of refugee communities. We also run innovative projects to enhance opportunities for refugees and asylum seekers.

Refugee and Migrant Justice (RMJ), formerly the Refugee Legal Centre, was established in 1992. We have 12 offices in England, and currently employ about 270 staff. We are a not-for-profit organisation, helping clients who have no means to pay and qualify for legal aid. We will take on even the most complex cases if we have capacity.

The Refugee Children's Project (RCP) is an advocacy and relief organisation with more than ten years of experience in working with refugee children by supporting, protecting and promoting their social justice, human rights and their access to basic resources and services for vulnerable refugee women and children. Its specific focus on children and their primary caregivers distinguishes RCP from other organisations assisting, protecting and advocating on behalf of refugees and migrants.

Refugee Consortium of Kenya (RCK) is a local non-governmental organization in Kenya working exclusively on behalf of refugees and asylum-seekers, providing legal aid and counseling in the refugee status determination process and systematically monitoring and advocating the protection of refugee rights. RCK was initiated in 1998 in response to the increasingly complex refugee situation in Kenya.

The Refugee Law Project (RLP) seeks to ensure fundamental human rights for all asylum seekers, refugees, and internally displaced persons within Uganda. We envision a country that treats all people within its borders with the same standards of respect and social justice. We work to see that all people living in Uganda, as specified under national and international law, are treated with the fairness and consideration due fellow human beings. We want for all people in Uganda to enjoy their human rights, irrespective of their legal status. This vision is supported by relevant international laws as well as the Constitution of Uganda. The Refugee Law Project, under its video advocacy programme, has produced documentaries to show the work being done at RLP, as well as highlight the plight of forced migrants in Uganda. We also offer psychosocial assistance in the areas of counseling, as well as clinical and mental health. We campaign to ensure that forced migrants are treated in a just, fair and humane manner befitting of all human beings.

Refugees International was started in 1979 as a citizens’ movement to protect Indochinese refugees. Since then, we have expanded to become the leading advocacy organization that provokes action from global leaders to resolve refugee crises. We do not accept government or UN funding, allowing our advocacy to be fearless and independent. Our expert recommendations are highly valued by the very people whose decisions bring immediate relief and lifesaving solutions to refugees: senior officials of the U.S. Administration, the United Nations, and governments around the world, and members of the U.S. Congress.

Every day, families are torn apart in their escape from war, persecution or natural disasters. All too often they end up in different parts of the world, afraid, alienated and alone. Refugees United is a fully independent non-profit organization working to provide refugee families with a global, anonymous and user-driven tracing system to help them reconnect with missing loved ones. Refugees can register on the Refugees United search site using information that is recognisable only to family and close friends. No third party is involved in Refugees United, either in the organisation or the running and supervision of the search tool.

Regional HIV/AIDS Connection works from an anti-oppression, anti-racism framework and has adopted several positions statements and definitions that help guide our work with respect to issues such as the criminalization of HIV for non-disclosure, the Vienna Declaration on the criminalization of illicit drug users, the medical use of marijuana, health promotion, sex positivity, and diversity. We are currently working on creating position statements on sexism and trans inclusion.

Rehab provides health and social care, training and education, and rehabilitation, employment and commercial services in Ireland, England, Scotland, the Netherlands and Poland. These services enhance the quality of peoples lives, by supporting people in fulfilling personal goals, in accessing new opportunities and in playing a more active role in their communities. Rehab enables people to make the most of their skills and talents, to take up employment or further education and to live more independent lives.

REHASWISS is a registered Swiss association founded in 1977 by Joseph Aerthott in collaboration with some Swiss friends. The aim of REHASWISS is to support persons with disabilities in developing countries, mainly on the Indian subcontinent. REHASWISS is certified by ZEWO as a charity and has the right to bear the seal since 1988. REHASWISS is a non-political and non-religious organization. With the help of donations, membership contributions, as well as contributions from the Swiss Government, municipalities, religious organizations and other institutions, REHASWISS succeeds in helping around 700 to 1’000 disabled people every year to find a self-supporting job and a decent livelihood. At present, REHASWISS is working in co-operation with 25 NGOs in India and Bangladesh. The local partner organizations select and oversee the projects of the beneficiaries in order to guarantee the best chance of success.

Diarrhoeal disease is one of the greatest killers of children in the developing world and often the chief cause of child malnutrition. Rehydration Project is a private, non-profit, non-sectarian, international development group. We aim to work within the health framework of developing countries to help them achieve and maintain high levels of immunization, improve access to clean water and safe sanitation, support breastfeeding and promote hygiene education. We also show these countries how to promote ORT and its effectiveness and how to develop educational programs to encourage widespread usage. In short, new ways to promote, produce and provide ORT.
