RABBIT RUNAWAY ORPHANAGE is a non-profit organisation and operates as an incorporated association. It is a public charity, run by a committee under Australian Law, with membership and a small dedicated group of volunteers. RRO receives no government funding and is reliant on donations and fundraising. It is an entity that belongs to all people that care about the welfare of pet rabbits. Bunny orphans come to Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage as ‘overflows’ from other animal shelters such as AAPS, Lort Smith, Animal Aid, council shelters, private rescues and other shelters throughout Victoria. Bunnies also often come to the orphanage as a result of being dumped, neglected, handed into vets or rescued through the orphanage’s rescue service. Judi & Bryce’s passion for the pet rabbit was born in 2003 when two bunnies arrived through a hole in their back fence. The two young giants were Hiro and Chi (RIP). The couple were intrigued by their intelligence and unique nature, and when they became aware of the high number of rabbits dumped in night boxes at shelters and subsequently euthanaised, their journey into pet rabbit welfare began. Judi & Bryce Inglis have been advocates for the companion pet rabbit and involved in animal welfare work and education for a number of years. Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage was officially formed and received charity status in July 2009 and represents the consolidation of their work. Judi and Bryce continue to work tirelessly to have the pet rabbit included under animal law and to educate the public to the needs and nature of this unique pet. They are also educators for the House Rabbit Society, the oldest and most respected rabbit welfare charity in the world.

Rachel House Pregnancy Resource Centers are dedicated to helping meet needs of those who are faced with an unplanned pregnancy. We want to provide our clients with the information they need to make a good decision at this important time in their life. Rachel House offers free pregnancy tests and confidential services. We also offer an on-site full term Obstitritian Clinic in two of our centers. Rachel House provides free, confidential counselling. We are happy to talk with our clients about their choices and give them all the facts.

Racing Welfare is the Jockey Club's charity. We help People who work or have worked in the horse racing industry who are in need and deliver nationwide support through a network of welfare officers and a 24 hour helpline. We provide financial aid to those who suffer injury, illness or other disadvantage and we also provide quality affordable housing for racing's retired or for young people who have just entered the industry. Racing Welfare is there to help and support the often unsung heroes of the Racing industry in times of need. Through our work the charity seeks to enable and enhance the lives of racing's entire workforce and to benefit the British racing industry. The Charity is the organisation which re-invests in racing's people to the benefit of the individual and the whole of the racing industry.

RADAR is a national network of disability organisations and disabled people. We represent our members by fast-tracking your opinions and concerns to policy-makers and legislators in Westminster and Whitehall, and launching our own campaigns to promote equality for all disabled people. Formed in 1977 as the Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation, RADAR is a national organisation run by and working for disabled people. We have a membership of over 800 disability organisations and individuals. RADAR is the UK's leading pan-disability charity working to represent the need and expectations of over 11 million disabled people in the UK. RADAR plays a key role at the heart of the disability movement, acting with independence to clarify and channel the needs and expectations of disabled people and organisations to Westminster and Whitehall.

There are currently 21 participants involved in our programmes of art, drama, creative writing, film, tai chi and relapse prevention. We also offer an on site counselling service. Our programmes involve some of Irelands leading contemporary artists across all art forms. Artists work closely with participants guiding them through the processes of awareness, creativity and discovery that are at the core of the arts and expression. We constructively challenge participants regarding drug-use problems and their creativity so to focus new energy into their work.

Rady Children's Hospital Foundation was founded in 1985 with the goal of consolidating, coordinating and enhancing the fundraising efforts of Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. The Foundation is also responsible for increasing community awareness of Rady Children's through various media and for promoting the hospital's strategic priorities. Since Children's first opened its doors in 1954, our mission has been "to restore, sustain and enhance the health and developmental potential of children through excellence in care, education, research and advocacy". Rady Children's is San Diego region's only designated pediatric trauma center and the only area hospital dedicated solely to pediatric care. Our goal is to help create a region where all children go to school healthy and ready to learn how to be productive, responsible citizens. Today's children are tomorrow's leaders.

RAFFA International Development Agency, is an independent charity, launched by the Church of God of Prophecy, at House of Lords. RAFFA provides expert implementation that supports public involvement in the development of enterprising, safe and vibrant neighbourhoods (Civic Pride, Community Safety/Cohesion and Social Action). RAFFA works across sectors to deliver key community service activities that encompass working in partnership with local public bodies. We aim to integrate community services to support the spiritual, mental and physical needs of individuals in local and worldwide communities. We also translate education into skills for employability and enterprise development. RAFFAid works with local partners to bring humanitarian relief to vulnerable communities who have suffered as a result of civil conflict, natural disasters and climate change.

The Rural Advancement Foundation International - USA cultivates markets, policies and communities that support thriving, socially just and environmentally sound family farms. While focusing on North Carolina and the southeastern United States, we also work nationally and internationally. RAFI is creating a movement among farm, environmental and consumer groups.

We help educators to transform the learning experience through "hands-on" education that inspires the joy and discovery of learning. We are doing this with some 10,000 educators in the classroom, doing home-schooling, or working in after-school or community-based programs. RAFT's products, services and low-cost teaching supplies enrich and improve the education of over 600,000 young people each year. RAFT helps overcome the barriers to "hands-on" education and helps educators to engage and inspire students. We creatively transform reusable business materials into innovative "hands-on" project idea sheets and pre-packaged activity kits created around important concepts in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) as well as reading and art.

RAIDS is a collective effort and culmination of a group of dedicated and experienced social activists’ vision of a rural common platform for partnership and accordance towards development. For, it understands that the rural areas’ holistic development in all realms is possible through common exertion only. Hence RAIDS gives utmost priority to ensuring rural people’s participation and exertion for their own development. In order to promote active and operational participatory aspects, RAIDS adopts and initiates a variety of interventions and programmes in rural areas, where its founding members have working experience of 5 to 16 years in the areas of Child Development, Panchayathi Raj, Natural Resource Management, Forestry and Livelihood Rights of PTGs, Rights of Dalits, Animal Welfare, Women Development, Research & Documentation in rural issues and livelihoods, Child Welfare & Rights, Agriculture, Education, Rural Cottage Industries etc.

The idea behind Railway Children began in 1993 when David Maidment, Chairman of Railway Children (former Controller of Safety Policy with British Rail), was on a business trip in Mumbai. David was deeply moved by the many street children he saw at the main railway terminal, and was haunted by the image of a 7 year old girl beating herself to elicit sympathy and money. On his return he researched all organisations working to help street children and saw a gap in the market, no one was focussing on early intervention. In 1995 Railway Children was launched, to stop the abuse of children living alone and at risk on the streets, through early intervention. During the last year alone 25,571 children and young people living in UK, India, Tanzania and Kenya have benefitted from our work.

Access to food, water, education and livelihoods may sound like worthwhile, but unrelated goals. Yet, incorporated into traditional lives and customs, RAIN's programs create an integrated pathway to sustainability and cultural harmony. All of our programs share a common goal: supporting nomadic schools where children must have food to eat and teachers to teach them. Traditionally herders and caravaners, nomadic people in these regions are in trouble. They find themselves increasingly marginalized and with less and less room to live their lives as they have for centuries. Men must often leave their families in "exod" - relocating to neighboring countries to find work - weakening the fabric of their traditions and ability to survive. Increasing drought brings more frequent food shortages and uncertainty. Schools lay abandoned, and nomadic children must work to help their families survive. But these communities are ready and motivated to overcome these obstacles - they just need a "leg up." Through RAIN, you can provide that boost that is so urgently needed and hoped for. Very little goes a long way in Niger. Nomadic parents, teachers and children are committing themselves daily in their efforts to improve their situation. They are dedicated to making the most of your support and investment.

The Rainbow Africa Operations centre is based in Livingstone Zambia close to the beautiful Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River, which flows on downstream through 80 km. of gorges towards Lake Kariba, and which also forms the border with Zimbabwe, Namibia and Botswana. Since 1996 when the Charity was established significant development has taken place .

Rainbow Trust Children's Charity provides emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. Rainbow Trust's Family Support Workers join the family in their own home and are there to provide practical support. We are contactable 24 hours a day for families in crisis from diagnosis, through treatment and even after bereavement. The staff at Rainbow Trust respect each family's values, needs, resources and strengths. We aim to develop a strong working partnership with families.

Rainforest Action Network (RAN) is made up of 43 staff members in San Francisco, CA and in Tokyo, Japan, plus thousands of volunteer scientists, teachers, parents, students and other concerned citizens around the world. We believe that a sustainable world can be created in our lifetime, and that aggressive action must be taken immediately to leave a safe and secure world for our children.

We believe that the best way to keep forests standing is by ensuring that it is profitable for businesses and communities to do so. That means helping farmers, forest managers and tourism businesses realize greater economic benefits by ensuring ecosystems within and around their operations are protected, and that their workers are well-trained and enjoy safe conditions, proper sanitation, health care and housing. Once businesses meet certain environmental and social standards, we link them up to the global marketplace where demand for sustainable goods and services is on the rise.

Rainforest Concern was established in 1993 to protect threatened natural habitats, the biodiversity they contain and the indigenous people who still depend on them for their survival. At present the organisation has 18 conservation projects in 12 countries: Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Romania, Suriname, Costa Rica, Panama, India, Sri Lanka and Uganda. We work closely with local conservation organisations in these countries to protect rainforests. Central to Rainforest Concern’s philosophy is the establishment of strong partnerships with small yet dynamic organisations in the countries where it operates. Such long-term partnerships have repeatedly shown to result in the continued success of projects.

The Rainforest Foundation was founded in 1989 by Sting and his wife Trudie Styler, after they saw first-hand the destruction of the Amazon rainforests, and the devastating impact it had on the lives of the indigenous peoples who lived there. The Foundation's first major initiative was to campaign for the protection of the lands of the Kayapo Indians in Brazilian Amazonia. This resulted in 1993 in the legal recognition and demarcation of an area of more than 27,359 square kilometers. Today there is the New York-based Rainforest Foundation Fund, which is generously backed by Sting. This provides funding, over USD 1.5 million in 2007, for three autonomous organisations - Rainforest Foundation US, Rainforest Foundation Norway, Rainforest Foundation UK.

Rainforest Foundation Norway supports projects in ten countries, in all three rainforest continents. We work closely together with more than 100 local partners. RFN advocates a rights-based approach to rainforest protection. We believe that the peoples who for generations have developed their cultures and societies in balanced interaction with the highly complex yet vulnerable ecosystems of the rainforest have fundamental rights to these areas. Our experience in the Amazon has shown that the most effective way to protect the rainforest is by securing the territorial rights of its indigenous peoples.

In 1989, Sting and Trudie Styler founded The Rainforest Foundation in response to a direct request for help from a Kayapo Indian leader in Brazil who was seeking to protect his peoples' land and culture. The organization's initial project led to a role coordinating the first ever privately funded demarcation of Indian land in the region. Since its founding, the Rainforest Foundation US has implemented innovative projects in partnership with indigenous groups and grassroots organizations in Latin America. Our staff works with partner organizations in the rainforest to help indigenous communities gain fundamental human rights, map their territories and file claims for land title, lobby for enforcement of laws and policy reforms,develop local sustainable development initiatives and monitor and manage natural resources.
