The Pensthorpe Conservation Trust (PCT) was formed in January 2003 to carry forward the work of its predecessor, the Pensthorpe Waterfowl Trust; and to establish a centre of excellence in ecological restoration. Its focus is the captive breeding of threatened species, particularly those associated with wetlands, such as cranes and wildfowl (ducks, geese and swans); ecologically sustainable farming; plus habitat restoration and management.

People For Pets is an all volunteer, private, nonprofit shelter and rescue. We receive no government funding and are supported solely by private donations and adoption fees. At People For Pets many hours of work put in at the shelter is donated by volunteers who are also busy with full time jobs, family and home lives. Our volunteers come in many times a day to care for the dogs and cats and transport animals to veterinary visits, adoptions and rescue placements. Our volunteers also coordinate all paperwork, adoption applications, phone calls, inquiries, etc. as well as those fun tasks like scooping poop, cleaning and building maintenance.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), with more than 2 million members and supporters, is the largest animal rights organization in the world. PETA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: on factory farms, in laboratories, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment industry. We also work on a variety of other issues, including the cruel killing of beavers, birds and other "pests," and the abuse of backyard dogs.

People Helping Horses is a locally-based, nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the human to horse relationship through education, rehabilitation, and support for the equine community. People Helping Horses brings caring people together to focus on the most important equestrian needs in the local area and mobilize resources beyond the dollars that are pledged through fund-raising. We do this by building partnerships, gaining consensus, and leveraging resources to make a difference. Focus areas are identified at the local level and vary from community to community.

People Living With Cancer (PLWC) was established in 2002 by Carl Liebenberg and Linda Greeff, both of whom are cancer survivors. For the past seven years the organisation has set about developing volunteer counselling guidelines that are aligned with international protocols and this has allowed the organisation to have one of the most established volunteer psycho-social programmes in the country. The buddy support network offers a “buddy” support network where cancer patients can interact with and receive advice and support from cancer survivors who have a similar profile, disease and treatment protocol.

People Who Care Inc. (PWC) is an independent not-for-profit volunteer organisation which provides services to the frail aged, people with disabilities, carers and others with special needs to enable them to live independently for as long as possible and to avoid premature or inappropriate admission to long-term care facilities. The organisation operates from offices in Guildford and Mandurah and covers the greater part of the Perth metropolitan and Peel regions. We are committed to realising a caring community - one in which those who are able to look after those in need.

People with Disabilities in Ireland (PwDI) is the only national cross disability organisation funded by the Government. PwDI wants to help all people with disabilities to take part in and influence the decision making process that impacts on their lives and opportunities. Cross disability means that PwDI is for all people with disabilities,whether those disabilities are physical, emotional, intellectual or mental. We also want to include and welcome parents, partners, carers and groups of people with disabilities to join PwDI. Our strength lies in our members and in the Local Networks. They make it possible for PwDI to focus on matters that affect people with disabilities in their day to day lives.

We help all sorts of species but have a special focus on our native mammals. We firmly believe that successful conservation is based on sound scientific evidence and advice with practical outcomes. We are optimistic, believing that with positive, sustained cooperative action, we really can make a difference. Our work is varied and extensive ranging from direct support for conservationists to involving the public and volunteers in practical action to help specific species and habitats. We raise funds so that we can support a huge variety of conservation work throughout the world. Projects we have funded range from monitoring Saiga antelope populations on the Russian Steppes to tracking wild dogs in Namibia.

For over 14 years, People's Watch has fought for the protection and promotion of human rights in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. People's Watch has similarly expanded its activities beyond human rights monitoring and reporting. Today, it pursues a holistic approach to championing human rights through everything from pursuing legal remedies on behalf of victims to sheltering victims in a rehabilitation center, to teaching future generations a human rights curriculum and building a citizen’s movement for Human Rights – of ALL RIGHTS for ALL PEOPLES. Monitoring, intervention and even winning compensation from the courts is not enough for those who had survived torture, abuse and imprisonment. They desperately need medical, psychological and vocational help as well. Preceding the United Nations Decade for Human Rights Education, People's Watch began a vigorous training and education program.

Childhood First is a charity that provides specialist therapeutic care, education and treatment to children suffering severe emotional and behavioural disturbance as the result of early life trauma. We also provide support to their networks of adult carers. From pioneering beginnings in 1970, with the formation of our first therapeutic community for young people, and subsequently at Peper Harow and Thornby Hall, we have continued to refine our treatment method and to offer it more widely, with the development of further residential facilities using the same method, with variations to suit age group and size of facility and a Placement and Family Support service which works with networks supporting children in families, foster placements and residential placements.

The Percy FitzPatrick Institute of African Ornithology (affectionately known as the Fitztitute) is located at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, where it is housed within the Zoology Department. Situated at the tip of Africa, the Fitztitute is uniquely positioned to take advantage of the vast untapped biological resources of the continent. Our Eco-development aims at conserving the bio-diversity by addressing both the impact of local people on the protected areas and the impact of the protected areas on local people.

Pesticide Action Network UK waorks to eliminate the use of hazardous pesticides, reduce dependence on pesticides and to increase the use of sustainable alternatives to chemical pest control in agriculture, urban areas, public health and homes and gardens. We publish independent information on pesticide use and impacts for governments and decision makers. We undertake and target research to promote better understanding of the cause and effects of pesticide problems. We undertake projects to demonstrate that growing food and textiles, and managing amenities, is possible without the use of hazardous pesticides. We also support projects with partners in developing countries to demonstrate the efficacy of organic and low input production as a means of providing farmers with economically viable, socially acceptable and environmentally sound livelihoods.

Pet Adoption Fund is the largest private Non-Profit No-Kill Rescue Organization in Southern California, founded in 1983. We are staffed primarily by volunteers, and exist solely on private donations. On the average, our facility houses around 175 dogs and 60 cats, of all sizes, ages and breeds; and all are anxiously awaiting for their chances to great homes.

PAT organises therapeutic visits by pet owners who volunteer to take their pets (mainly dogs) to visit people in hospitals, hospices, retirement homes, frail care facilities, special needs schools residential centres, and a variety of other venues. PAT visits bring company, support, comfort, pleasure, stress relief and stimulation to those living either permanently or temporarily in these and other establishments. There is a fortune of scientific evidence showing that the interaction between people and pets is therapeutic – physically, emotionally, psychologically and socially.
