No Sweat
Human Rights
No Sweat is an activist, campaigning organisation, fighting sweatshop bosses, in solidarity with workers, worldwide. Sweatshop labour is modern, global capitalism stripped bare. From the small, backstreet sweatshop to some of the biggest corporations in the world - child labour, forced overtime, poverty wages, unsafe conditions, harassment of women workers and intimidation of trade unionists are commonplace. All workers, in every country, deserve and need these rights. In order to enforce these rights, they need to be free to organise - the stronger the union, the safer the workplace.
Noah's Ark
Children/Education
Noah's Ark was founded by Jama Hedgecoth, the daughter of an itinerant preacher who spent much of her childhood on the road. As a child, Hedgecoth cared for injured and unwanted animals, nursing them back to health and then finding homes for them. Hedgecoth and her husband, Charlie, opened the original Noah’s Ark in 1978 in Ellenwood. The idea for the name stemmed from the fact that an ark is a vessel of safety in the midst of danger, and Hedgecoth’s facility was built to shield children and animals from today’s floods of abuse and neglect. The site consisted of 250 acres that eventually would hold the animal rehabilitation center, a long-term residential care children‘s home, a training and administration building, natural habits for the animals and nature trails.
Noah's Lost Ark
Animals/Wildlife
Noah's Lost Ark Believes in educating the public about the plight of exotic and endangered animals in our society. That's why we are one of the few sanctuaries federally and state licensed that offers educational guided tours. If we do not take the time to educate people they will just go on without knowing they CAN make a difference. We at Noah's Lost Ark know we will make a difference. Our facility is dedicated to providing a permanent safe haven for unwanted and abused exotic animals. We are a NO-KILL facility that allows these magnificent animals the opportunity to live out the rest of their lives in a safe and caring environment. We provide a second chance to many of these animals, as they are innocent victims born into a captive world. They do not deserve to suffer or die because they get "too large" or "too expensive" to care for.

NOH8 Campaign
Human Rights
The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response to the passage of Proposition 8. Photos feature subjects with duct tape over their mouths, symbolizing their voices being silenced by Prop 8 and similar legislation around the world, with "NOH8" painted on one cheek in protest. Seven years since its inception, the NOH8 Campaign has grown to over 55,000 faces and continues to grow at an exponential rate. The campaign began with portraits of everyday Californians from all walks of life and soon rose to include politicians, military personnel, newlyweds, law enforcement, artists, celebrities, and many more from across the globe. While inspired by the passage of Prop 8 and the fight for marriage equality, the scope of the NOH8 Campaign has grown to stand against discrimination and bullying of all kinds. The message of 'No Hate' can be interpreted and applied broadly, and everyone can relate to the message of NOH8 in their own way.
Noistar Thai Animal Rescue Foundation
Animals/Wildlife
The Foundation takes its name from two dogs - Noi & Star rescued from the island of Koh Tao, Thailand. In 2002 the Foundation helped to fund a temporary clinic on the island, run by veterinarian Beata Chodakowska. In July 2004 we opened the first permanent vet clinic on the island and have to date treated over 5,000 animals. On Koh Tao there is no RSPC, no PDSA, no animal's shelters, no sanctuaries, and before our clinic virtually no medical care of any kind for the animal population. Ravaged by mange, hungry and often abused, many of them didn't survive. With your help we are changing this.

NORML also supports the legalization of hemp (non-psychoactive marijuana) for industrial use.

North Dakota Trauma Foundation
Health/Medical
The foundation goes back to 1995, when federal funding for the North Dakota trauma system ceased to exist. At that point, six urban hospitals, the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), and the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Association donated money in an attempt to fund the Trauma Coordinator position. In 1996, the state health department allocated funding, and now supports the State Trauma Coordinator through the statewide trauma system. The donations originally intended for the Coordinator position were reallocated to be managed by the NDTF. A working committee began soliciting memberships in order to form the foundation. The North Dakota Trauma Foundation was officially formed in October 1998. A board of directors was elected. The NDTF Board of Directors consists of a surgeon, emergency room physician, emergency registered nurse, registered nurse, trauma coordinator, hospital administrator, pre-hospital providers, and laypersons. As this is a statewide organization, members of the board represent various geographical areas of the state.
