We also act as advocates for sexual and reproductive rights at the local and international levels. Our clients are women, men, and adolescents from diverse economic, cultural, and geographic backgrounds. Our work is grounded in the belief health care is a basic human right.

International Rhino Foundation

During the late 1980s, Zimbabwe's black rhino populations were decreasing at an alarming rate due to intense, organized poaching. In 1989, a group of concerned individuals and institutions founded the Black Rhino Foundation to assist in the conservation of black rhinos in Zimbabwe both through efforts in the wild and in zoos. In part, because of the International Black Rhino Foundation's support, poaching was virtually eliminated and black rhino populations began to stabilize. In most areas throughout the species' range, black rhino populations now are increasing.

The International Society for Human Rights (ISHR) and its national branches are independent non-governmental human rights organisations (NGOs) which base their work on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights proclaimed by the United Nations on 10 December 1948. It is a non-profit organisation, independent of all political parties, governments or religious groups. It acts according to the philosophy that the realisation of human rights and the improvement of social conditions cannot be pursued by use of force. ISHR was founded in order to support individuals who share this principle and, consequently, claim their rights in a non-violent manner.

International Tree Foundation - ITF

The International Tree Foundation has been protecting and planting trees for over 80 years. We support projects that achieve the twin goals of improving lives and healing the planet. The projects we support primarily involve planting trees that provide food and income for local people; in many cases this simultaneously addresses environmental issues such as habitat restoration. There are often also fundamental rights issues involved such as access to ancestral land. In the UK we focus on tree planting where there is an environmental need, often working with schools. The International Tree Foundation (ITF) is a UK registered non-governmental organisation (NGO), it is one of the oldest established forestry organisations in the UK, having originally been set up in 1924. Interplast Australia & New Zealand

Founded in 1983 as a joint project of the Royal Australiasian College of Surgeons and Rotary District 9800, Interplast Australia & New Zealand is a charity that sends teams of fully qualified surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses and allied therapists to developing countries in the Asia Pacific Region to provide free surgical treatment and medical training. Interplast volunteers provide free treatment to people living with a disability from a congenital condition such as cleft lip and palate, or an acquired condition such as burn scar contractures. Treatment is targeted to the indigent population who would otherwise not be able to afford to access services. Interplast assists with developing local capacity to provide surgery and ancillary services by providing training and mentoring programs for medical and allied health professionals. All Interplast programs are training programs — leaving a legacy long after the team has gone.

INTERTEAM

INTERTEAM is an organization of the Swiss Personnel Development Co-operation, placing and supporting experts on three-year missions to Africa and Latin America. About 70 INTERTEAM experts offer their experience and commitment on service assignments to the people in the South, being committed to dignified living conditions and reducing poverty in the fields of nutrition, health and education. Donations in favour of INTERTEAM experts are fully used for their commitment to the South. INTERTEAM service assignments are always a mutual learning process. INTERTEAM experts also create awareness in Switzerland about the concerns of people living in the South. INTERTEAM has been committed to justice, peace and the conservation of creation since 1964.

The Association Intervita Onlus is a non-confessional, non-political, independent Non-Governmental Organisation cooperating for development. Founded in Milan in 1999, we work in the countries of the world’s south, collaborating with local partners to improve the living conditions of the populations of the poorest areas. Intervita Onlus specialises in integrated development projects. We choose to intervene in areas with high poverty indexes by working in various sectors at the same time: health, education, food safety, production, rights for women and children, environmental sustainability and community participation. We can lay solid bases for a real, lasting community development. With a team of professionals specialised in various different sectors, Intervita was able to take action whenever natural disasters strike the countries with which we are involved. We make our experience available in first aid and reconstruction works, as we did, for example, during the tsunami that destroyed the eastern coast of India in December 2004, or cyclone Nargis in Myanmar in May 2008.

INTRA

The center is located in an idyllic setting on the Mediterranean coastline in the village of Neurim, North of Tel Aviv. We welcome anyone both from Israel and abroad who can benefit from horseback riding including mentally and physically challenged adults, children, survivors of terror attacks, injured soldiers, their families and friends. Students receive individualized, hands-on training from a team of dedicated and highly skilled staff. Within weeks of starting INTRA’s sessions, most riders show dramatic improvement in their ability to face the challenges of their disability. INTRA has successfully integrated into Israeli communal life. Its therapy is generally recognized as a special holistic therapeutic force now used by many health professionals, practitioners, psychologists and medical institutions. The program has the support of the Ministry, the Ministry of Education and Sport, the Animal Society Tel Aviv University the Equestrian Federation, the Sports for the Disabled and other local institutions.

Intrepid Foundation
