Through the support of the community, our mission is to fund life-enhancing medical research and clinical care, and to advocate excellence, promote collaboration and foster talent.

Westmead Medical Research Foundation opened in 1990 to support the life-saving medical research, and the care of sick adults and children, at Westmead in Sydney's west. We do this by raising funds that enable our researchers to continually push the boundaries of medical innovation, while also broadening the scope and reach of the treatments our doctors and nurses can provide to the 1 million patients they care for at Westmead every year. Our funds could not go to a more worthy cause: they literally save thousands of lives. The doctors, nurses and researchers at Westmead rely on the generosity of individuals, businesses and community-members to purchase the vital equipment and resources they need. Westmead Medical Research Foundation helps raise the funds that make their work possible.
