The Barbados Council for the Disabled is the non-governmental umbrella body partnering with all sectors of the community and international agencies to effect change and champion the rights of all persons with disabilities, ensuring their full and effective integration into society.

The Barbados Council for the Disabled is the umbrella body comprising institutional members only. All the members are organisations which represent a specific category of disability in Barbados. The Council's sources of finance come from a combination of a Government subvention, project funding, donations and fundraising activities.
