CO-OPERAID is active in the field of education and vocational training. Its projects help impoverished children and young people in a current total of seven countries in Africa and Asia.The aim of the projects is to help provide access to primary education for all children and to promote secondary and vocational education. At the same time, structural projects are improving the economics situation of families.

CO-OPERAID is a non-profit, politically and confessionally independent, humanitarian Swiss association with its headquarters in Zurich. CO-OPERAID and its donors are committed to help children and youth in Africa and Asia. Our projects want to give a «chance to the chanceless» through school education and professional training in a current total of seven countries: Uganda, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Thailand and the Philippines. CO-OPERAID is dedicated to the childrens right to education and to the Millennium Development Goal Nr.2, education for all. Our projects serve the ones that need help and support most: orphans – aids orphans and war orphans in particular – refugee children, children of ethnic minorities, children of poor rural families. Promotion of girls and women is a special concern within the projects.
