In January 2004 GES is established as an NGO in coorporation with DGI-Copenhagen.
Later that year Global Education Through Sport started a sports project at ASCHIANA children’s center for street working children in the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul. The project is financially supported by DANIDA’s “mini-funds”. Today, GES works as a sports NGO with a focus on Afghanistan as its area of effort.
