To create possibilities for the children and youths to learn life skills that enable them to better manage life on their own and eventually obtain the same accept and recognition as the other children in their village.

Founded in 2001, Faraja is an NGO that supports a project for handicapped children in Tanzania at Faraja Home. Faraja Home is situated outside Moshi in Tanzania at the foothills of Kilimanjaro. In Tanzania, handicapped children live under miserable conditions. They risk living an isolated and lonely life with neither educational nor social stimulation or contact with other people. At Faraja Home these vulnerable children get an everyday life with dignity and plenty of activities that stimulate them and teach them valauble lifeskills. In the long term, this gives them a chance of integration in the local society.
