More information
Acid violence is the deliberate use of acid to attack another human being. The victims of acid violence are overwhelmingly women and children, and attackers often target the head and face in order to maim, disfigure and blind. Acid violence is a worldwide phenomenon that is not restricted to a particular race, religion or geographical location. ASTI is the only organisation dedicated to addressing this grave abuse of human rights in an international context. We have a committed team of expert volunteers who are working to ensure that effective resources are available to support survivors in their journey, and that the human rights and dignity of survivors are upheld.
