To promote and support low-cost, affordable palliative care in a community setting in Africa.

Hospice Africa Ireland (HAI) is a support organisation for Hospice Africa and Hospice Africa Uganda.
Since it was founded in 1993, Hospice Africa has supported the provision of palliative care to patients with cancer and HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa. Hospice Africa Uganda has been established as an affordable palliative care service within Uganda, and this model is used to promote this work as an African model throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Today HA has developed links with Malawi, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, and the Gambia.
