To help disabled children and adults become mobile, independent and trained in skills that can lead to employment and so achieve dignity in their communities
More information
MEND was set up in New Zealand as a non-government organisation 20 years ago and has since been supporting local organisations in developing countries to improve the mobility and independence of their disabled members. We have helped set up rehabilitation centres in Nepal, Kashmir India and Ghana by facilitating links and support from generous and caring donors. By helping disabled people become useful and capable we believe they can regain their dignity within the community.
