To encourage self-reliance & environmental sustainablity by promoting the adoption of permaculture philosophies & sound organic practises in the Waikato region.

The Hamilton Permaculture Trust provides education and opportunities for people to learn about permaculture and organic gardening. We also provide advice and consultancy services to school and community groups to assist communities in developing their own gardens. And we oversee education in the Sustainable Backyard Garden at Hamilton Gardens, an internationally recognized demonstration of urban permaculture featuring fruit trees, chicken tractor, solar power, bees and aquaculture.
