To bring relief to children anywhere in the world who are suffering hardship, sickness or distress as a result of war, and to advance the education of the public in the effects of war and especially the effects of war on children.

War Child Ireland was established in 2003 and is part of the War Child International Organisation. At least 2 million children have been killed around the world in the last 10 years as a direct result of war and armed conflict. War Child Ireland is a child protection agency working with the most marginalised children in some of the worst conflict and post conflict emergencies. War Child’s work makes a fundamental difference to thousands of children whose future is otherwise bleak beyond description.
