Childaid's mission is the eradication of extreme poverty, disease and hunger for children in the developing world, while ensuring that each child has the essential means to a productive life.

Childaid is a humanitarian organisation for the Third World, mostly working with street children in the slums of East Africa. Much of the work of Childaid is based in and around an area of Nairobi known as the Mukuru slum as this is the area most in need of assistance in achieving the MDG. In addition, we have some active projects in Nepal & the Lebanon. Childaid is pioneering educational and welfare programmes for children in the developing world.
