Alone works towards an age-friendly society where older people are never isolated but are included as valued and empowered members of the community. Established in 1977, Alone supports those over 60 who are homeless or at risk of losing their home. We befriend and advocate for older people in the community who are isolated and vulnerable. We provide long-term affordable tenancies in 95 accommodation units (houses and apartments) in the community. We take a rights-based approach because we believe that nobody should be dependent on charity. We are professional in the services we deliver and embrace volunteerism which has always been at the heart of what we do.
