Indian Social Institute (ISI), in New Delhi founded in 1951, is engaged in research, training, action and advocacy in socio economic development and the promotion and protection of human rights. Since its inception, the Institute through its networking is engaged in strengthening the people's movements particularly from among the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, the most Backward Castes, the Minorities, the unorganized and landless laborers and women.
