Founded in 1989 Vishwa Gujarati Samaj is an International Organization of Gujarati Community settled the world over. It has grown from strength to strength within a span of eighteen years. VGS provides platform for the interaction amongst the Gujaratis World over, and functions as an umbilical cord between the Gujaratis settled outside Gujarat and the people of Gujarat. It works for the growth, prosperity and progress of Gujaratis settled in different countries of the world and inspires them to cultivate the spirit of brotherhood, co-operation and to promote and preserve Gujarati language, its tradition, its culture and its cultural heritage.
