The word "Vidyarambam" is derived from the Sanskrit language and it means "the beginning of learning". This "beginning" does not happen for many children in the world. Specifically, in remote villages of India, there are hundreds of thousands of children who do not have the opportunity or the environment to begin their education. As of September 2008 Vidyarambam centers have been opened in 22 districts of Tamil Nadu and in 10 districts it is well rooted. At Vidyarambam we adopt an activity based play way methodology.
