BEF has promoted innovation and excellence in Brookline Public schools since 1981 and is well positioned to continue to build on this legacy as a steadfast support for public education in the future. As one of the first local education foundations in the country, the BEF provides the only means for our community to invest private money in public education from preschool through grade 12. These funds make the difference between a good school system and the superb system for which Brookline is known. Through its grants and awards, the BEF maintains and enhances the high caliber of Brookline schools by supporting outstanding teaching, innovative curricula, administrative leadership, and major educational initiatives.
