More information

Participative Development Initiative (PDI) is a non-governmental organisation that was established in November 1997. PDI strives to contribute to alleviating poverty through promoting sustainable development and the strengthening of the institutional capacity of established community, corporate and institutional structures. The organisation sees unsustainable-development, social fragmentation and the lack of access to basic services as the root causes of poverty. Participative Development Initiative has conceptualised strategic programmes and projects tailored around building local participation capacity, enhancement of self esteem, sustainable development promotion and facilitation of local self reliance to further these aims.
