BORDA was founded in 1977 as non-profit organization in Bremen, Germany. Since 1981 our programs have been supported by the Federal German Ministry for Economic Cooperation & Development (BMZ). Since 2001 we are focusing on development co-operations that aim to provide sustainable and environmentally sound services for basic needs to disadvantaged segments of society. We are facilitating basic-needs service projects in Indonesia, China, India, Vietnam, the Philippines and neighboring regions. Projects in the African SADC-region are planned. We and our country partners have been contracted as expert organizations by international institutions such as the World Bank, ADB, KfW, GTZ, AusAID, CEU as well as national and local Governments.
