More information
The Canadian Gene Cure Foundation (CGCF) is a registered Canadian charitable organization. It was formed in 1999 by a group of dedicated visionaries and members of the Canadian Genetic Diseases Network (CGDN) who strongly believe more funding is needed for medical genetics research in Canada. The Canadian Gene Cure Foundation is dedicated to its four programs: Research Grants, Scriver MD/PhD Scholarships, the Canadian Human Genetics Conference, and Gene Researcher for a Week. These programs were developed specifically to address the growth of human genetics research in Canada. The Research Grants are awarded every year to scientists studying various genetic disorders.
