Charles Sprague Sargent, a friend of Arboretum founder Joy Morton, once said: "If The Morton Arboretum grows in the next 75 years as Chicago has in the last 75 years, it will be the wonder of the world." Over time, our donors have helped The Morton Arboretum become a wondrous 1,700 acre outdoor museum, and a leading scientific institution for tree and plant research. Because of your generous support, the Arboretum continues to plant and protect trees, teach children and adults how to care for the environment through world-class education programs, and advocate for greener and healthier communities. Today, our collections, research, and education programs have made us a world-renowned leader in tree science and education.
